The price seems a little high on first impressions for a brushed RC £380 seems to be the MSRP.

Having said that the chassis seems to have a pretty decent spec and the inclusion of a lipo battery and charger instead of the nimh battery's is a bonus.

I can see this making a good first RC for someone.

I wonder what pitch teeth the spur and pinion use. It doesn’t mention on the website. As that will determine if a brushless upgrade is simple later down the road🤔

If it's £380, it's vastly overpriced. Especially considering the brushless one is £319. The electronics are maybe £30, the battery another £20 - no idea about the charger, but at that point they already lost me.

I don't know jim, at £380 i don't see why someone would take this over a Typhon 3s, or for a little more, an Outcast/Kraton 4s.

edit: or, in fact, over the brushless MT10.

I can’t see much on their website but they do have a brief page which lists the MSRP as $439.99 (although that MSRP is a bit misleading )

Underneath that value it lists an MAP of $299 which would put it at £260.
( I’m going to say that’s probably what it will be sold for )

I suppose we’ll have to wait and see what retailers will charge for it. If it is £260 that’s actually quite a good deal.

At £260 it's good, but £380.. nah. There's loads better stuff out there for that kind of money (you'd get a Typhon 3s with charger and LiPo from Modelsport with their power pack for £375).

And yeah, one will see. I do like MT10s.

£290, hm.

I guess there's an argument to be made, i'm just not certain that it'd win against the "there's the brushless one for £319" argument. At £260, there's enough room to the brushless one, but £30 difference, not quite sure if i'd suggest this over the brushless when inevitably the next dad asks for recommendations for his kid.

are they copying Arrma by bringing out a brushed version of a popular model ?

It certainly looks that way, i don't think the mt10 came in a brushed version previously 🤔.

If it uses something other than 48dp spur and pinions, you just happen to have some 2s - 3s brush less electronics lying around and your dead set on getting an mt10 then you could save yourself  £30.

That's the only way i can see this release being a "good deal" personally. For £290 as others have said your competing against quite a few brush less trucks.
