Popular Post Stormbringer Posted April 26, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted April 26, 2021 Progress so far Cut the top deck just behind the securing screws so that steering servo is securely mounted Double sided sticky is holding the VSe radio box at moment The battery tray is installed but had to chamfer the mount posts for it to fit on the bevelled part of chassis unfortunately it means you lose the plastic side There is a mount post on esc tray part of battery holder so i drilled a small hole through bottom of the tray then offered tray up to chassis and drilled down through hole enlarged pilot hole in chassis and secured the tray with 1 screw so i could mark other 2 holes to be drilled then secured battery tray in position I am using the Kronos/Shogun v2 battery tray here https://www.modelsport.co.uk/corally-battery-esc-tray-v2-large-composite-1-pc/rc-car-products/1333933 Unfortunately the motor mount has yet to make an appearance but rest of the bits are here 5 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Popular Post Stormbringer Posted April 27, 2021 Author Popular Post Share Posted April 27, 2021 Woohoo motor mount turned up today and duly fitted but thats where i hit 1st problem secured it in and the centre dif was locked and on closer inspection it sitting lower at front so had to pack it with some washers to raise it a bit and it worked dif sits straight With washers fitted Motor installed and meshed up ESC fitted So thats it just about complete yep i know still got velcro to add lol and program it up ESC hey ho its done and only needed drill 3 holes in chassis 4 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I run one side with stock guard and the other with Mugen guard. What pinion size are you using? locky Posted April 27, 2021 Share Posted April 27, 2021 Those wheels have zero offset so your not as wide as stock. If you find stability is an issue then you can get wheel axle extenders from Fastrax or 1/2" offset rims.
