1/32 Mini 4WD (The Final Four)

This is (hopefully) my last installment of the Mini 4wd builds.

The kits have been built and detailed to image the 1/10 version to the best of my ability. Some of the shells aren't true scale replica's of the 1/10 version, therefore the decals don't always match up 100% but have been positioned the best possible way to suit the body.

All kit decals (which in most cases are paper ? ) have been replaced by MCI decals scaled down to 1/32. This gives the model a more authentic look to the true scale.

It's been a lot of fun :D

The Mantaray:

This was purchased second hand. The body was painted with what appeared to be a rough primer, so it was stripped down, repainted with TS paint and decaled.

The Astute:

Quite like this one. The red TS paint went down really well and probably has the better finish than any of my builds.

The 1/10 version below isn't a real Astute, it's a DT-02 Sand Viper made to look like and Astute.

The Egress:

Another of my favorites, came out really well with most of the decals being able to be positioned as the real model.

As per Astute above, that isn't a real Egress. It's also a DT-02 with a Desert Gator body.

The Avante:

Not as pleased with this as some of the others, it just doesn't look right. The Egress looks great IMO, and my Boomerang was spot on, the Avante is just average, Even the Bear Hawk looks better...

Unfortunately, I don't have anything 1/10 that resembles an Avante, so it sits on it's own :(

Below are some pics of my fave five, while some are more favorable than others, these models hits the spot for me.

Last but not least, a group shot of all my mini 4wd buggies, these are a lot easier to fit on a desk than the 1/10 equivalent

And iff you fancy a gorp at all the 1/32 models in one place, see my gallery  :good:

I think you're selling yourself short on the astute...it looks good.

Bigwig and Boomerang are simply delightful

Thanks and they certainly do stand out from the crowd.
