Soldering Iron recommendations?

This. It's a great lump, on the downside it takes about 5 million years to cool.

I need a new tip, as mine is now heavily corroded. :(

 

Lasted around a year with heavy use, so that is good.

I also have that iron and I'm looking for a smaller tip, do you know if they make one or if thers one out there that will work.

If you get one of these you won't be disappointed at all, it'll handle anything you throw at it. I've worked with loads of 12 AWG wire on my Yeti and this thing works like a charm.  I've not used EC5 connectors, mainly deans and bullet connectors but never had any issues.
