    Kyosho ae68

Hi. After finishing the resto on my pure ten alpha gp I decided to buy a ep version off of ebay. It doesn't have the motor mount and I'm struggling to find one. The part number is AE68. I know the zaboon used the same mount but wondered if anyone knows of any other Kyoshos that used the same mount? Thinking It might broaden my search possibilitys if other models used it. Cheers

99% done. These are the original decals that came with the car! I never fitted them 20 years ago.

    Project alpha

Dug the body out today and I'm surprised by how good it still looks! Needs some paint touching up as the exhaust turned it back to a liquid!

Wow 4 years have passed and it's still not done! Got back on it today!
  5. Yes marc83 3s in a 2wd slash is wild. i wanted a 4000mah but accidentally ordered a 2200mah. was mad at myself until i charged it up and stuck it in the truck! instant wheelies on tarmac
  6. I have a hobbywing ez run(can't remember what size motor)set up in my slash and have just stepped up to 3s lipo. It was fast on 2s but on 3s its mental, the only problem is it's now finding all the weak parts of the truck. If you go 4s let us know how it goes.
  7. Nice one, i thought as the battery voltage is higher the cutoff would be too. suns out so better get her charged and in a car!
  8. cheers for that James. i have a separate low voltage alarm which is more accurate the the esc. Do you set all lipos to 3.4v per cell? as i think that's what i was told to set my 2s lipo to.
  9. Afternoon all, i have decided to step up from 2s to 3s lipo but im not sure what amps to charge it at and what should i set my low voltage cut off at? ive looked around the net but see many different opinions im a bit lost. the spec is 2200mAh 3S cell 11.1v 35C Chers guys.
  10. Dusty motors(available on modelsport) make chassis covers. They do them to fit the traxxas slash and like you say the fiesta chassis looks very similar to a SCT chassis. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/dusty-motors-traxxas-slash-2wd-protection-dust-cover-black/rc-car-products/422698
  11. When I went brushless with my slash it snapped the pin in the end of that shaft so I would replace them for new before you go brushless!
  12. I started my boy with a ripmax coyote when he was 5. He got on great with it and has now moved on to a traxxas bandit.
  13. I run a traxxas Nimh in my boys car and as has been said above I go for full charge then let it rest and then top it up before you go out. I thought I had got a duff one because it wasn't lasting very long and loosing punch real quick, but charging it like this has really sorted it out.
  14. This is the one I run. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/pro-line-ford-f-150-svt-raptor-clear-body/rc-car-products/38270
  15. Here's mine and I've just had a look on model sport and it turns out it's not a flotec!(shows what I know!) You can see the vent I cut out in the second pic and there's two more you could cut out!
  16. I run the pro line ford flotec on my slash and have only cut out one of the rear long vents and she jumps pretty well. It does the usual nose up or nose down thing but throttle or brake sorts that out but very rarely rolls side to side in the air unless i get the take off wrong. The flotec body is defiantly better the the stock traxxas shells.
  17. I'm liking the slash monster truck look! Did you have to alter the gearing much form when it was a SCT?
  18. Morning, I'm looking for recommendations on tyres for my lads traxxas bandit as he keeps destroying the traxxas ones. We run on all kinds of surfaces so looking for something that can cope with most things but be a bit longer lasting. Cheers guys
  19. This might help! https://traxxas.com/explodedviews/5803-Transmission-Exploded-View-Slash-TQi-24GHz-radio
  20. Love rpm parts, loaded my slash up with them and I've not broke any yet! Rpm don't do a replacement camber link unless I go down the turnbuckle route which I'm leaning towards now.
  21. Evening all, I built my lad a bandit from an old roller I got off eBay and I guess was an xl5 spec but can't be sure. My lad took it out and broke one of the plastic rear camber arms(it was an awesome jump so I'm cool about it!). I noticed that the newer vxl bandits have turnbuckles fitted rather than the plastic arm, I guess these would fit the older bandit? Anyone tried this or are there any upgrade options out there that are better? Cheers.
  22. Striped the motor and found out the front bearing has got grit in it or has just decided to start breaking up. Found one the same spec on e bay so will order one and replace it.
  23. I fitted a LCG chassis to mine and it made a massive difference. I had tried upgraded shocks and other bits first but nothing helped improve the handling until the LCG was fitted!
  24. Afternoon all, took my slash out for a bash on a bmx track that is a very fine gravel track! It was a bit damp so the truck got plastered(grit got in and destroyed a wheel bearing) so I gave her a quick clean off and left it. Took it out yesterday and it was make a lot of noise almost like a whistling type noise, stripped the clutch out to eliminate all the trans and wheel bearings and ran the motor. The noise is definitely coming from the motor and it's a real dry type of noise! Could the grit have got in the motor? Do people oil the bearings in Brushless motors or is it a case of its on its way out? It's a hobbywing wp-sc8 combo!
  25. The lcg chassis transformed the handling of my 2wd! It's the best upgrade I've put on my slash!
