  1. Thanks. I’ll take a look this evening.
  2. oh ok....could be it,. Does that mean it be producing voltage but no current. I'm no expert how much current should it be pushing if 'healthy'?
  3. Yes, thought I would try that option just to see. Also tried nil and the other voltages just in case my battery was low....which it isn’t at 10v!
  4. I dug my not used for year axial yeti for a spin this afternoon. Worked for 5 mins then stopped. Its not mechanical, but i think an issue with the ecs / battery. After a couple of hours tinkering I'm still no wiser so I though i'd appeal to the wider knowledge base! I have: a nimh battery pack Traxxas 5000 series 5 - its charged up and providing 10v Castle side winder ACT - I've attached it to a castle field link and set it alternatively 'none' for cutoff voltage and 'auto lipo'. Motor type is set at Brushless or Smart Brushless Castle Sensored 1410 2800kv motor I have power in the wheels steer but when pressing throttle all i get is a couple of revolutions than nothing. I wondering if the rather outdated battery just doesn't work well with the motor or esc - but other than that i am mystified! Any guess or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks DR
  5. i would try the BMX track in Brockwell park - near Herne Hill so easy from Victoria. You have to early though to beat the cyclists - 8.00am at the weekend or at dusk.
  6. I guess it depends what your idea of 'close' is but the BMX track in Brockwell park (Herne Hill) is fun is you can get there before /after the bikes
  7. Thanks For all the replies. Very helpful. Overlander RC6-VSR 80watt 7A Output AC/DC Charger
  8. It’s this Overlander RC6-VSR 80watt 7A Output AC/DC Charger
  9. Thanks. I’ll have a read. Thing is I have a multi charger which really seems aimed at lipo. I’m not sure if it has a cut off. Probably does just not 100 per cent. The instructions are less than helpful too...
  10. But in theory ie am I right in thinking that you need to get to 1.5v per cell ie 12v or is just me being dumb?
  11. I have one if these: 9.6V Traxxas 5000mah series 5 battery, it has 8 individual cells. I am charging it now on a multi charger and it is showing 12.1 volts and going up. Please could someone let me know what voltage is the max?
  12. brilliant - thanks. You should 'charge' for advice!
  13. This might feel like you are talking to a man from the 1980's but I'm after some NiMh basic charging advice. I have a 9.6V Traxxas 5000mah series 5 battery. I'm using a multi charger and it asking how much current is required starting from 1.0A. I'm more used to charing Lipo - should i go for 5.0A - or does it even matter? Thanks!

I think what appeals over an ammo box is that it seems to isolate the heat, which if like me you only have a crowded basement for storage is appealing. Also an ammo box vented with holes will presumably still let flames escape which this won’t. I’m in no way connected to this company but just saw it and thought it looked like a good idea.
