Having a LiPo fully charged for 5 days is fine. It's not ideal to have it charged for that long, but it's not going to end the world. It being fully charged shouldn't cause it to drop voltage unless it's visibly damaged. I've got a jump pack in my 1/1 car, it's got a 4s 5000mah pack in it. It's been fully charged for 4 years and still works. Now I've said it, it won't anymore. 😆 Can you check the voltage across the main leads using a multi-meter? Can you see any damage to it? If the voltage is true, that 2 cells are dead, the pack is dead. Dispose of it.

5282 900kv Loved mine, had a similar setup in it. But now it's a box of bits. Might treat it to a rebuild one day. They are. Look nice, but I'm getting horrible speed wobble with them. Gone too big, so might have to dial it back down.

So, test day tomorrow. Swapped the ESC for a Max5, fingers crossed that helps with the pulsing issue I had. Also put a 1/5th scale servo to turn the boats for wheels, and upgraded the steering linkage. I think the wheels might be too big, might go smaller down the line. For a budget upgrade to 8s, it's turning out pretty expensive. 👀

Runs like a champ on 8s. Getting hot though. Currently running a 24 pinion on a 32 spur. Have a 20t pinion to try this weekend. Have an issue with the throttle pulsing here and there. Less than last week, but still does it, possibly need a new esc. Blown 2 tyres, so getting some belted is a must. VID-20240526-WA0000.mp4

There is a small part of me that feels it's an ESC issue, and a massive part of me is hoping it isn't... I'd struggle to fit a different ESC in the space I have 😞 I've connected the ESC to the PC and poked at some settings, Motor direction was reversed, so swapped that and the motor wires around. Next on the list is recalibrate it, turn off LVC and gear it down. Have some more pinions on the way, but they will take a few weeks to land. The ESC has data logging, so I might see if that shows anything next time I have it out.

I'd like to think so, used 4 different sets, all these packs are reasonably new. 2 x 3s 6000mAh @ 60c (two sets) 2x 3s 6000mAh @ 50c 2x 4s 4500mAh @ 50c

Evening, champs. I've put a 8s combo in my MT2. Took it out for its first shake down today, and come across some gremlins. I had the same issue a few years ago, with a Baja conversion, and just boxed the combo until now. Running it on 6s, when I gun the throttle, the car pulses as it speeds up, best way to describe it, is if you were blipping the throttle every second Put 8s in it, and it did the same thing, but less noticeable. Now, if you gradually put the throttle down, it doesn't do it, but I'm running out of field before we get to full speed so see if it does it on WOT The combo is a 'FG Modellsport' which I believe is a rebrand of the 'Toro beast' (Pics in the Hyper MT thread) https://www.skyrc.com/download/TORO_BEAST_V2_Instruction_Manual_EN_V1.0.pdf On start up, there is no cell count, no beeps of any kind. (maybe need to recalibrate) Played with the settings, 2 stage punch (I have no idea what this is) I thought the pulsing would be this, but no matter how the settings are changed it doesn't affect it. LVC is set to 20v, so I would like to think this isn't the issue as it also pulsed on 8s. Anyone have any ideas with this ESC that could lend some knowledge? Thank you kindly.

Ooo, my bad, I misread above, sorry. If it's finishing off 0.04v short, thats alright. I have 2 identical chargers, and one of them likes to do this, finishes off slightly short of 4.20

If it isn't the timer limit, it's the capacity limit. Stock is set to 5,000mAh if I'm looking at the right manual, needs changing up to a higher limit

Is there a time cutout on the charger? could be hitting the limit on a 10,000mAh pack.

Changed the motor and ESC, got a max 6 and a 4292 can in it. Motor and ESC much cooler, batteries arn't getting hot either. Thing flies on 6s. However now the gearbox is cooking, temp gun showed it as 100c. Being plastic that won't last long. Wheels aren't balanced well, it wobbles like jelly on WOT, so would be nice to find some others that are a similar size, but belted?
