  1. If its just fairly smooth grass the Marder out turns the Baja in most situations it handles flatter and doesn't have all the tail happy dramatics although it's still running a stock can on a G260. It's only the bumps and ruts that the Marder just gets confused and doesn't really know what it wants to do, also the Baja can be ran hard off MX style jumps and just laps it up, I wouldn't even consider the taking the Marder anywhere near the rough stuff. But they are 2 different machines for 2 different applications. And the Losi runs rings around both of them, in fact the Baja has had no use since getting the Losi and the Marder is only in the garage still as I love the way it looks easily the best looking rc.
  2. Well I now own a Baja, a 5T and a Marder!! I got into this 5th scale hard lol Marder is OK but struggling to find any suspension upgrades I've rebuilt front and rear and fitted balloon springs in the rear but it's still absolutely atrocious for anything other than smooth grass
  3. Anyone have any opinions on this chassis? Rcjaz have then and it's a stupidly low price but is that because they are Chinese tat? The thing that attracts me to it is the 280mm wheelbase and the conventional motor Gbox set up Any way thoughts on a postcard?
  4. Oh yeah thanks for that I remember seeing it online, only thing puts me off is lack of LR badging but I suppose Aliexpress will probably be the place to go for that.
  5. We are a rare breed I spend most of my life with people looking at me not really knowing how to take me. Which just adds to the fun really🤣
  6. You have kind of took my thoughts and made them real. The Traxxis is by far and away the most popular land rover model out there and I suppose its for a reason. I love the idea of having all singing and dancing interiors and stuff but in reality it doesn't really matter at the end of the day. The 109 from boom racing is on my list even if its just to admire. So in your experience then as beautiful and realistic as these kits are the Traxxis is the the one to have for actually driving and the Boom is the one to drool over? What about the TRC and RC4WD? Forgive my ignorance but I'm new to the scale world and am trying to get my head around all the different models and set ups?
  7. Haha no offense taken at all i was only having a joke, apologies if my reply seemed like i was being rude my humor can be abit off to some people🤣
  8. No your right I was making the whole thing up, I actually was lying in some sort of attempt to make myself seem important and well off. I thought if people could see me on the Internet bragging about buying a £199.99 kit they might think I was a big shot. I'm sorry I've been caught out.... 🤣 Local shop had one hence me asking brought this morning and built it today just got to paint the shell but haven't decided on a colour so been running it around the living room naked. But thank you for the input all advice is well appreciated 🙏
  9. After going down the scaler rabbit hole my credit card is twitching! So my interest in primary Land Rover products and I've just built the Charisma RR which I love. So the contenders are: TRC D90 RC4WD D90 CC02 D90 MST DC Boom Racing 109/110 And an Killerbody D90 on a SCX10 chassis. What experience do people have with these?
  10. And thanks for the grease tip ill definitely do that!
  11. Yeah they are a bit out of budget for me! Is there any metal wheels in the style of the series land rover wheels? What tyres will fit this model?
  12. Hi after having a disagreement with my Losi 5t and ending up in a cast and on my bum for the next 6 weeks decided it was time to build my own little crawler. As a massive LR fan the Carisma Range Rover kit was the obvious choice, but I have a few questions. Does it come with bearings and all parts straight out the box? Is there any immediate must do upgrades? What is the best scale looking wheels for it? I'm really not a fan of the stock wheels I want something that looks more realistic and Land Rover-like? Thanks
  13. Does anyone have any 5T body panels they want to sell?
  14. No unfortunately they don't move as that's what the wheel rim sits on. That's a good shout tho the Heat shrink idea I'll have to get some big ones.
  15. Ah no these are a different design, very similar to the oem ones but they have a lock bolt through the center to pinch onto the pin. These do not so I estimate them staying in about 10 seconds
