Hi all, this is is going to sound like such a stupid question, but I cannot find where this aluminium aerial upgrade for my HPI Bullet goes. It’s for this car and was the cheapest upgrade, I cannot find a manual for it or where it goes anywhere online. I presume I must just be being stupid. Image Image 2 Image 3 anyone got any idea? Thanks for the reply! Buying this servo was sort of a last resort / only one they had in stock, not going to lie, it was a rush buy. My servo had gone and needed a fast replacement so just went with the first metal geared water resistant servo they had in stock. I’ll definitely be upgrading the servos in the future, want to get some use out of the current ones for the time being, but i agree that these are the main things. As as far as I can see, there’s not too much I can upgrade in terms of aesthetics, eg shells, wheels etc. But then again maybe that’s me being dumb and not knowing what sizes fit. Also so just bought the aluminium aerial upgrade and anodised front upper brace. Not sure what the aerial mount does or how it even fits, but was only fiver and needed to spend a bit extra to get free next day delivery so went for it!

Hi all, was wondering if some people on here would be able to recommend good places to buy upgrades from and what I should upgrade first. First upgrades won’t be starting for at least a few more runs as I’ve not had the car running properly yet, had a bust servo just 6 tanks in! I know a lot of people say there isn’t much to upgrade on this car, but surely there must be some stuff I can improve. I am looking at starting with an aluminium aerial upgrade. But also would like some new rims and some aluminium upgrades to get me started, my question is more where to get them and which I would be best starting with. I bought a SS-30WR 8KG servo as my first upgrade after my servo bust, so servos are sorted for the minute. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated as a bit of a newbie to the RC Nitro world.

Hi Everyone, Was hoping someone would be able to recommend somewhere to bash or any tracks around Manchester? Dont mind driving 45 mins - 1 hr. But want to find somewhere local-ish to go. Hello, I have already made some posts requesting help but thought I would formally post here! Im Connor and 17 from Greater Manchester. I got my first RC Nitro car a fair few years ago, all I know is that it was a Tamiya Subaru with no failsafe, I still have it and I’m working on getting it running at the moment. My second car was I believe a Carson Montana, which I also still have but again is not running. I also have a HPI Savage which my dad built years ago when we were into nitros. We’re working on that as a joint project. Recently bought a HPI Bullet ST and love it. I’m looking to get all the cars in running order again, but for the meantime the bullet is my go to car. Any info or recommendations on upgrades, parts and places to buy from would be greatly appreciated! And just a hello is also fine I know my way around an RC but I’m by no means an intermediate, simply a Saturday thing at the moment so I’m also looking to gain some knowledge.

Hi mate, thanks for for the info, HPI and LHS came to conclusion that the servo is bust. So I’ve bought a new stronger metal geared servo. Also getting a free replacement from HPI as a spare. thanks for the help.

I’ve attached the clip of the servo noise and what it’s doing... going to try relieving the load on the servo and see if that does anything.

I will try and attach a video / sound clip of the noise tomorrow morning. As for taking the servo out, my car is still under warranty so will email the shop I bought it from and ask what they recommend lol, I’m only just starting out properly with RC nitro cars and haven’t done very much disassembling and reassembling, don’t want to make anything worse! Hi mate, just tried these steps and think the servo has died!! I tried the D/R and nothing happened, so swapped them in receiver box and the steering moved the throttle fine but the throttle did nothing to the steering. So servo must be dead I will say that there is a strange noise coming from servo and when I lift the car it moves the wheels fully right

Thanks a lot, any idea how I can check the dual rate? Where can I find the setting? the end point of the remote I haven’t changed, and like I say the steering was working fine until I changed the servo reverse switch on the remote before, so would these need to be tampered with as I have reset them? thanks connor

Hi mate, yes throttle still works fine, I rebound it hoping that would solve my problem. It is bound with the car fine, throttle and brake works, just steering doesn’t. It it is the TF-40 remote.

Hello everyone, i recently bought a HPI Bullet ST 3.0 nitro. This is my second nitro car, first being when I was younger. Now, it’s all broken in and I’ve been using it the past 4-5 days fine, but I noticed my steering was reversed, when I turned the wheel forwards it would turn the wheel forward it would turn left and if I turned the wheel towards me it would turn right. So I checked a few online things despite there being not much info regarding this, and I noticed that my remote came with channel 1 in reverse on the remote, so I just flicked it to neutral. I have now lost all control of my steering, the remote no longer steers the car. I tried resetting the servo by holding the setup button and binding the remote with the car etc but still nothing, as A’s tomorrow is Sunday I would’ve loved to take it out, but all local shops are closed so I’m coming here to see if anyone has any help for me as it would be much appreciated!
