  1. I don't, sorry mate. Shame to say it but replacing the wheels themselves would be easier/ Here's a page of wheels with offset up to +12mm: http://www.maxspeedtechnology.co.uk/rc-drift-wheels/
  2. You need to check the offset on the wheels before you buy them really. I had to get some +12mm to make my TT-01 look right with an HPI shell. The other option now you have the wheels is buying longer wheel axels. Don't think there's an easier option, sorry.
  3. Hang on, HE claimed to be ex SAS then mocks our armed forces?!
  4. Good points. I'd say make sure there are bearings in even if you don't beef up the motor etc, only a tenner or so for a set.
  5. Found the shell you used, didn't realise the arches were part of the moulding! Anyway, good job with the weathered painting.
  6. Only just seem this! Lovely job, great to see something different too. Where did you get the shell from? Not seen those before.
  7. Hi TT01Joshua I'd be more concerned about the worn tyres than the shell Are you going to trim the body posts down? Would look much better. Still love my TT-01E, great little car. Bags more fun once I popped a brushless combo in it. On my 3rd shell now, other two still ok just like a change now and then
  8. Awful to hear he was robbed in his own home. Hope his stuff turns up and they catch those responsible. Disgusting.
  9. Bosozoku! Man, that's tame, I'll wait for this one. http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/31605-/
  10. Do you think he'd let us have them?
  11. Absolutely gobsmacked by this build thread! Fantastic work, Frederik. Can't wait to see the finished model. I get to see Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts rally in my hometown when they do a stage along the seafront. Always my favourite cars to see running. https://www.flickr.com/photos/mrzardoz/sets/72157629175107239/ Love the Imp too
  12. Love my gas one I got from Aldi. They're not in all the time though.
  13. I'm on my fourth plane now since getting a HobbyKing Bixler for my birthday. I'm so glad I flew the Bixler 1st, highly recommend it. Nice to have something that will glide without throttle, gives you plenty of thinking time. Plus, being a 'pusher' it'll take more punishment with a bad landing.
  14. Don't have any spare gear myself but these are great no frills sets: http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__10608__HobbyKing_174_GT_2_2_4Ghz_2Ch_Tx_Rx.html
  15. Fitted the undercarriage kit to my Bixler recently. Pretty good how it works as you trim and glue plastic slots into the fuselage so the wheels can slot in and out of them. One thing I'd suggest to anyone thinking of fitting them is to glue in a polystyrene block inside the cockpit, butting up against the plastic slot. As before I did this I noticed the front wheels had a tendency to push backwards on some landings.
  16. Took the Skyraider out for it's maiden flight over the weekend. A bitter sweet experience looking back, some of the mistakes I made were obvious to me now, excitement carried me away at the time though. Did a range check and all looked good, set it down on the makeshift runway and eased the throttle up. It turned back on itself a few times even with the rudder right over (found out since other owners have had this due to left wheel not running freely, I didn't think to check though). So I retracted the undercarriage and decided to hand launch. This model is much heftier than my bixler and micro mustang so my heart was in my mouth as I throttled up and hurled it! It dropped down to about 2ft off the deck before picking up into the skies. Adrenaline pumping now, I was amazed at how powerful this thing felt, pretty anxious too . Blatted it around for a while, looped and rolled very nicely, and the **** eating grin only dropped from my face once I thought about bringing her down. Totally forgot about lowering the flaps when I stared to reduce the throttle and for some reason I planned on dropping it onto the field rather than lowering the undercarriage and attempting a runway landing. As I brought it down, in slower and lower circuits I noticed a large area of very boggy ground that was in the area I was coming in over. In a bit of a panic I managed to pick her back up, too close to a hedge row for comfort and just get her over it. Ended up with a harsh belly flop landing that snapped 2 prop blades and snapped the hinges of the undercarriage doors Thankfully no damage to the wings or fuselage. Parts ordered and only
  17. Great to see you've brought it alive! ...got a feeling I'll be going down this slippery slope myself at some point.
  18. Colicab's point about where you'd most likely run it is very important. Are you wanting a kit to build or something ready to run? If it's a kit then Tamiya's are very nice to put together. The Sand Viper is what I started out with a 2wd buggy that came with bearings, ESC and a brushed motor. About
  19. Amazing! But no retracts so my Skyraider is better
