forbs
Hi everyone, I just wondered if there is any reason I should buy one of these transmitters over the others. they all seem reasonably priced and i was going to learn to fly a simulator before buying a collective pitch heli. many thanks, forbs
joeylcfc
I have a DX6i, great transmitter, only gone wrong once, sent it away and came back a week later all fixed for free. Good range, and reasonably cheap for the quality of it.

danb1974
If you want to fly blade bnf micros, you need spektrum radio dx6i is the entry level programmable tx, dx7 is better, dx8 even better, it's down to how much money you want to spend
forbs
Right okay, it's really just to use with a SIM at first then I would like a blade helicopter
jabba1
if you wanna fly spektrum bnf, just stick a specktrum module in back of taranis, taranis also works on pheonix flight sim.
danb1974
Best (collective pitch) sim is a tamed down mcpx over tall grass
philbr
buy the new DX6 (not the dx6i) or the DX9 if you think you may need the extra channels these are newest spectrum Tx's and are telemetry compatible and have the new voice alerts
ninjagaiden
+1 on the DX6, for the voice alerts, but it is overkill for a sim. I'd just get something cheap and cheerful for the moment. Since the Turnigy 9XR Pro (with voice) came out you might get a good deal on a used 9XR. You don;t even need a module to plug it into a sim. Also there's the Hobbyking DX6i clone - OrangeRx T-SIx which is only 40 quid.
