I'm in the throws of investing in a new traxxas xmaxx I am just trying to decide if I'm doing the right thing buying traxxas own battery and charger or I should go after market. If so which ones are best? Iv been saving for ages so waiting a bit longer and not jumping into wasting cash would be a good idea 😜 Many thanks. Dave

Thanks pal. No strange buzzing noise. It's a new 1/16th spectrum servo so I assumed it would be decent. It returns true with no splines missing. If you turn on the tx and Rx and put load on the servo saver it's stays kinked one way.. I think it must be a poor design. It's not even like it's working hard, this thing is tiny lol. I could understand it on an xmaxx

Thanks. This I what I thought. The servo saver won't go any tighter. I might try glue it shut. I know it will cause the servo to fail in time but it's pretty useless at the minute. It's annoying because it came brand new like this. Anyway I should know better RTR = ready to rebuild 🤣

This is happening to my model but I suppose could be applicable to everyone in the RC world. So I have a brand new losi mini t and whenever I center the stearing after a couple of turns up and down the street it kinks slightly off to the left. I have made sure everything is tight or loose enough in the linkage to work. The servo saver is tight and no splines are missing on the servo. Can anyone recommend something else I can try ? At this point I'm assuming it's a weak servo saver not allowing the wheels to set back to zero? Many thanks. Dave

Thanks for your input thats is just what i wanted to hear !. I think im pretty set on the super clod buster as the price and ability to use it from the get go are a big advantage in my eyes. The txt 2 is a bit out of our price range and they dont look as good as the original txt i think if i could have afforded one at the time i would have got one of those Thanks again. Dave

Hi chaps. Im after a new kit to build with my daughter. We did the lunchbox a few years ago, the mad rat kit last year and now we are looking at the super clod buster. She loves the lunchbox but would be good to have somthing that can be used for a bit of off road crawling and is slightly more capable. As the clod buster has a cult following i was wondering if companys still exist that sell custom parts for the clod buster to make it better and stronger off road ? Upgraded chassis and shocks etc.. It is kind of becoming a tradition at christmas time that we build some kind of kit so i thought this would be ideal ! Cheers guys

Hi guys i was hoping somone could help me. My revo engine is leaking from the flywheel and over heating so insted of spending a fortune trying to replace it with another odd ball after market unit i would try convert it to electric. I already have 1/8th brushless running gear so im hoping it would be fairly streight forward getting and installing a conversion kit, at hopefully less then the cost of a new engine. What do you guys think ? And does anyone know of a good supplier of conversion kits for revos. Many thanks. Dave

Thanks guys I'll look at all these suggestions. As it is at the moment within 1 minute of the engine being on its running red hot. And the front bearing us leaking so I think it's past fudged ! I will try another fuel tank first but I think even pinching the engine is not going to fix all the problems. So my options are to either Buy a replacement engine in 3.3 format or A big block conversion A new 3.3 is going to cost around 140 but will drop directly in. A conversion is going to cost 50 and I have a spare hyper 7 21 engine that's has seen less then half a gallon hmmm

Thanks mate. Is the crank baring an easy fix ? I will do the seal first thanks for the part number. I don't know how old this engine is I'm thinking it might be worth me upgrading to the 3.3

Thanks nitro. The fuel tank seal has gone. Iv tried replace it off a donor tank but it's just too thick. I'm now trying to think of something I can rob one from hmmm I'm wondering if a plumber seal will work.

I'm using 20% serpent fuel which I think is rebranded model technics. I've not touched any shims mate Dave

Hey up chaps as I'm pretty "novice" in terms of nitro I'm having a few teething problems with my revo 2.5 1st there seems to be a small leak by the flywheel whilst running. I returned the needles to factory settings but the car seems to be running hot. Not too bad whilst idling. But gun the motor and it cuts out for a few minutes cools down a bit then re starts. There is also a lot of due by the fuel tank/battery box and a arms so I think the fuel tank may have a little leak but can't find it. The only thing I could find wrong was the servo was not opening the throttle fully. And there is quite a bit of oil coming out of the exhaust. This to me would indicate a rich running engine, but wouldn't the engine run cooler? Anyway any advice would be helpful. Thanks very much. Dave

THanks mate. Does anyone know the best place for rpm arms ? I'm trying to get a full set but most places dont have stock of all of them. Just front right or rear left . Never a full set

What are those wheels / tyres mate? Are they standard hex fitment ?

Thanks mate! Its getting there.. all the rubbers need replacing for the turn buckles. do people tend to bother with these as they don't house any serious moving part like a bearing? and they cost a fair bit for what they are lol... although i have found a cheaper way to get them Well disaster struck yesterday, I decided it would be a good idea to have a fight with a bacon slicer. Long story short Iv taken off the top of my thumbs knuckle and cut through the tendon, so a&e yesterday and plastic trauma this morning to sow me back together, unfortunately its my right hand which i use for screwing (easy now !) so i may be a few days out of rc action whilst i repair a bit.
