Chasman
hi, im thinking of getting another nitro car as my bullet is getting to me now, always breaking etc the two buggys iv narrowed it down to is the HoBao Hyper 7 TQ black edition http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobao-hyper-7-tq-black-edition-rtr-2012-spec/rc-car-products/30403 and the Ansmann Racing Virus Big block http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ansmann-racing-virus-28-big-block-rtr-buggy/rc-car-products/39494 I will never use it for racing, just purely for fun and bashing. Has anyone had experiance with either of them? Pro's and cons? Any help would be appriciated thanks
chrisknights
go for the black edition mate , 1 millions times better for bashing , hell of alot stronger , i find that the hyper has stronger plastics and can take a beating and drive away , i seen the asmann in action and find that break more easier then the hyper , plus there are so many spares for the hyper , hyper comes with 2.4 radio gear and up graded servo as standard and stronger ,
DannyP
If you use the search function you will see this has been covered many times over. Get the Hyper.
Jack R8
Hyper all the way, ansmann have a bad reputation
(-:AD:-)
The virus 2 are ment to be great and have not herd anythink wrong with it, not many people buy it because of the first virus being bad Hyper is alot more popular and a bit cheaper for spares and have a good reputation

JFS666
I have a Hyper 7 Black and my god does she move. I chose this on many factors and there is no negative to getting on of these. Cheap parts(everything is replacable/upgradable if needed), super strong, and quick as a stick only thing I can say is as with all nitro models is check your needle setting on the carb before running in. I'm running mine on 25% Optifuel Race blend. Here is a video of My hyper 7
fatboyneil
Another what buggy thread where you'll end up being pushed towards the hyper and no one recommends the ansmann deuce aka team c stoke-n well better than the virus and hyper (null)

fatboyneil
Don't hate hypers just don't like the fact every time someone asks what they should get everyone says hyper straight away and as people that have got them have said there are other cars just as good if not better and the more everyone keeps pushing them the cheaper they'll get second hand that is can get one for under Edited April 7, 2012 by fatboyneil

DannyP
my gripe is we don't all have to follow the crowd like lemmings off a cliff Maybe buyers should research and make up there own mind?

fatboyneil
Yep done that got t-shirt I know it ain't a good video but shows any car can be made to look fast and that isn't the fast one a decent .21 race engine would stomp all over it but that one will have to wait anyway recommendations for the op virus is good but hyper better give you that but look at others first deuce for one hpi trophy also plus hong nor also wait for new hyper it's better (null)
Rob_brum
also wait for new hyper it's better (null) Which new hyper?
epons300
i own a hyper 7 tq black , and i just sold a ansmann virus .28 , bashed both n the hyper .21 was in my opinion more responsive than the ansmann and faster , but i had an uprated steering servo in the virus which made the steering better than the hyper. if i was buying new now, i would pick the hyper mate .
fatboyneil
http://www.hobao.com.tw/en/news_a1.php?id=32 The new one I probably would get but won't I just like being different so I'll never get one unless they bring a truggy out that looks that good but then again I'd rather get one of these http://www.absima.com/index.php?id=81&L=1 but in this version http://www.absima.com/index.php?id=115&L=1 Edited April 7, 2012 by fatboyneil

cyronn
As for the money that you are looking to spend on a buggy the hyper, hpi and hong nor are probably the best in that price range.
