What are you're impressions of the TT-02 SRX?  That's my next build challenge with my group of mates, I haven't started on it yet, I've opened the box and had a wee look inside, and I must say considering the cost of the kit, what it doesn't come with - like a case for example everything I read about it led me to believe it came with a carrying case like the Noble Pro does for carrying it about, and differences between the stock TT-02 ans S version, I feel a little let down.  A few shims and more modern arms, that are used in another Tamiya kit and can be easily and cheaply sourced, in my opinion does not justify it's cost compared to the other versions of the TT-092 chassis, or kits.

I must admit. I do agree, but meh Im in too deep now. Plus I only paid £240 for mine so….

I'm in the same position after buying the kit, I'm in too deep as well now with it.

Depends, you can just sell it on. I had £120 of upgrades for it so thought I may as well build it

Took the Slash out and nearly got through a pack before my amazing soldering skills got me! 

 

Thankfully I was only about 5 minutes from home so decided to come back and re-solder before heading back out again to use the 2nd pack.   Was a good session and this is more like my kind of RCing where cleaning only took about 10 minutes with a brush

Was supposed to be putting the new motor in the TRX4 and strip down the stampede but again people had different ideas for me 🙄 

 

did manage to build the new shelf for the RC’s and have a quick look at the Cragsman really pleased with it 😁

Not always Tamiya's. Took the XRT & TRX4 to the Beech!  My girlfriend & I are having a few days in a Caravan so thought why not take some RCs.

Got a chance to try out the Y leads in the TRX6 today (well in the garden lol) and it seems its reduced the COG a bit which im pleased about

Got over an hour on 2x2200 flightpacks in paralell

Some upgrades installed on the tt02b and painted the body shell, just went with paints I had lying around, not the best job but this one’s a basher.

Decided to keep the vqs so installed the tz super stock motor and took it for its maiden run this morning, along side the tt02b also on its maiden run😂. The vqs seems ballistic in a straight line compared to the tt02b.

This is my only 1/8th car and I forgot how much space these things need to really open them up!

Due to blood sucking parasitic leeches - I believe you can these evil beasts solicitors in this part of the world, I've had next to no time since my last post in this thread to work on my Rock Socker.

 

I finally managed to finish making a few metal grills and painted them:

 

 

And here's one of the grills test fitted along with the front lights, there are lights to be fitted on the roll cage, but they can't be test fitted, once they are fitted, that's them fitted, they can't be removed.

 

 

Hopefully a better view of the metal grill and front lights temporarily fitted to give a rough idea of what it should look like when finished:

 

 

I also installed a rear wing:

 

 

 

I was hoping to have least started to paint the body shell by now, if not have it almost finished painted, but thanks to those blood sucking parasitic leaches, I've now run out of printer ink for printing out my custom made paint masks.  So I now have to wait for printer ink to be delivered before I can make a start on painting the body shell.

Used to be an alright one in Gorleston (about 5-10 minutes from where you are).

 

I think the only one in the county worth going to is Model Hobby but that's Kings Lynn so you're talking an hour+ to get there.

Very limited choice I'm afraid.  I have to do most of my RC shopping online.

Yeah I've never really been too impressed by it. I understand the whole risk of tying up money in stock being a risk to a small shop like that, but when you go in and anything you ask for "Can be ordered in", you're just gonna order it online yourself aren't you? 

 

A shame really, there used to be another one in Norwich which was ace and that one in Gorleston I mentioned was one you could get lost in for a while too. Suppose it's just impossible to keep up with the big dogs online.
