Popular Post KC59 Posted September 23, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted September 23, 2021 I did a bit of fettling and tweaking to the trailer I made for my GMade Sawback and fitted a nose wheel to the "A" frame at the front of the trailer. I used a triangular shaped peice of Kydex sheet (a mouldable thermo-plastic sheet), heated it and shaped it over the "A" frame, then drilled a hole of a suitable size to take an m3 threaded rivet nut, cut a peice of stainless steel m3 rod and bent one end to create a handle which I covered with heat shrink tubing then treaded it through the rivet nut. I bought a small 15mm nose wheel for a model aircraft and made a little bracket/carrier for it and mounted it on to the bottom of the m3 threaded rod so that it would rotate freely. A bit of a faff but I'm happy with it. Fish her out did you get wet feet? Did it drive away, how water hardened is it? Got a chance to take the trucks out, as the highrocks and outlaw are still on the bench, i drove the trx4 and the lad his outlaw... Enjoying the trx4 more since SST after being blown away with the lads performance with it, I'm convinced i just need more time with it to enjoy it, had a blast with it today however soured by both difflock servos dying, one my fault for thinking one servo would handle both diffs and to be fair they have lasted 2 years and still running stock steering servo so i must have got lucky with my elecs as i read most die fairly quick. As usual the lads outlaw came away with no breakages 🤯 still running original bumper 4 years now, metal bash plate since hes had it so must be doing the job.
