oodboo
Hmm, not a big petrol head but here goes First car was D reg metro, absolute rubbish without a stereo but got me up and down the a1 newcastle to derby quite a few times. Used to sing to myself quite loudly to pass the time. It eventually died of neglect. Next up was a Nissan sunny, E reg. parked on a hedge after braking in the corner rather than before, caused a lot of damage underneath. Got it all fixed up with a full respay only to wrap it round a tree when a remould tyre failed on a bend. Can't remember what was next but the next one I do remember was a honda civic, P reg. decent car, I had it for a while until neglect took over. I snapped the corner off the spoiler and the rear window was replaced with a plastic sheet after it was broken into. After that I got a G reg fiesta for

jp79er
The Mini is always a good call I love them......I used to race Formula 1000 mini's and have gone through a good few of them along with a couple of mini metros...your '88 Mini, looks well nice and tidy, 1293cc good engine too. Is that full original Cooper `S' engine or a tuner rebuild? Edited October 8, 2014 by jp79er
lel-95
it was a 1275 block bored out with a 11 stud cooper head, hif44 and a mild unknown cam. Would have been nice to get the cooper twin carbs but they go for silly money these days!

I swapped out my 1 1/2" SU and inlet manifold, for twin 1 1/4" SU Carb's, uprated needle and jets on a water heated inlet manifold and twin steel mesh pan filters on mine, they did look super nice... Noj
Orion 1.4 Ghia (H plate), perennial theft target, mum traded it in, and I got (formerly Grandpa's): Nissan Sunny 1.6 GS (F plate). Sold this and took charge of my sister's: 1.8DL Festa (K plate), which I eventually broke the can shaft on (oops!), so traded that for a: 1.3 Corolla (three door, on an L plate), which some tool decided to write off, so I bought: 1.7 Puma (V plate) which was freakin sweet, until I polybushed it and found the ride too hard, so off she went for: 320ci (53 plate) which, although bought from a long standing independent, was an utter bag of coil pack failing poop, so, I traded that for the current ride: 320ci (04 plate) which has still to hit 60k, is mechanically sound and cherished by me, and should still be in my ownership for many many years to come
