J450n
I zip tie mine together, and then zip tie the bunch to the outside of the shock tower, not too tight though, just enough to stop them moving.

royalflashdad
Nice truck Vr5fx. My son has just got the Dodge Ram body which we have to paint up. How did you do / where did you get the flames as he would really like those?
Stalker
Nice truck Vr5fx. My son has just got the Dodge Ram body which we have to paint up. How did you do / where did you get the flames as he would really like those? I bought the Silverado shell recently and it came with the flame cut outs on the same sheet as the window masks. Vr5fx
Nice truck Vr5fx. My son has just got the Dodge Ram body which we have to paint up. How did you do / where did you get the flames as he would really like those? Those flames are from a book I bought. All those designs were cut out with a model knife. This is the book I got it from. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tattoo-Sourcebook-Thousands-Hottest-Designs/dp/0007289944/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1377381623&sr=8-1&keywords=tattoo+sourcebook Worth the investment if your doing your own. However, the next body I do, I will soak the cutout in water to soften the medium before applying. But yay.
tersch
Been planning on doing this for a couple of weeks and finally got round to it today, saw a baja style firestorm on beat your truck and wanted to do my own so here it is for your storming pleasure.. If you want to do this you will need a hpi sprint 2 body mount set and paint and a proline baja bug body for the savage.. Here's what it looks like.. There is no me in team.. Hey smash. Pics of my old baja below (hope the links work?) with rat rod shell on. Got the kit off a kid in the US who made them himself. Spilt blood, sweat and tears on the look. Real head turner. Road use only as it wouldn't have lasted long in a roll! Thought you might appreciate them. http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/23729-/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/23728-/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/23727-/

Andy20xe
Though I would try something a bit different for the firestorm so mounted a Bounty hunter body shell off my savage. What do you think? I think it looks quite good !
tersch
Though I would try something a bit different for the firestorm so mounted a Bounty hunter body shell off my savage. What do you think? I think it looks quite good ! Im all for trying different looks. I think the shells available for the storm are quite dull. the new flux shell is prob the best. Im sure there are plenty of shells out there that with a bit of tweaking would fit the storm and look good with it. I think your shell looks good. Kind of a cross between a stetched limo and the A-Team! Nice. Would be interesting to get some input from other members to see what shells fit the storm and to get a pic of them. Andy20xe
Ye I like making them look different was going to fit an impreza body but stuck that on the savage instead
tersch
Help needed for the Core RC UAC50 Charger 12v/110-240v 6A. Had my storm flux delivered today - ace! Been out for a test run and all well apart from pinion grub screw came loose. No probs as the gear cover kept it safe. Put a bit of threadlock on it now. Anyway, I digress. My question is regarding the charger I bought with the kit above. I am a total noob to lipos and charging. I have a 3s overlander 4250mah 30c battery and have gone through the charger manual. Just wondering how do I tell how much charge is left?, Do I need to discharge after every run? Do I need to balance charge? Is this different to normal charging? How long approx should this battery take to charge at 2A? What do the units represent that tick up btm rh corner of the display? Are there some quick tip charging rules I need to follow? Also the battery cables are real close to the battery tray edge, is this ok? I have taken 2 foams out with one left. The Core UAC50 seems to be the gogs danglies with a hwhole host of options, which ones do I need to take advantage of to get the best out of it? Would appreciate any advice. for this charger and noob pointers. Thanks in advance.

Vr5fx
Does anyone know of any mods that you can do to the gearbox to make it stronger? I've not long broke my second because the screws were ripped out and the brackets snapped. I'm considering trying to bolt the whole lot down, longer bolts and such but was wondering if anyone else has any input?
royalflashdad
My sons new home sprayed Dodge Ram body with Proline Road Rage tyres, T Bones front and rear. Clocked at 32.1 mph today... Was a bit of a pain to fit the body despite HPI saying it would. Had to raise the body mounts as high as possible, but got there in the end. Both pleased with the result. royalflashdad
Just been out for another run and we have a steering problem now. Something to do with the servo saver set. The servo is working fine and turning the wheels when they are off the ground but when running the wheels don't turn steer at all. When off ground you can turn the wheels but the servo does not turn... Something loose or something broken? The tyres are great. Loads of grip and a lot less wheelspin - more wheelies at up to 50% speed.
Andy20xe
If I happen to accidentally order a motor esc combo how much faster would my brushed storm actually be compared to standard using something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKYRC-LEOPARD-60A-ESC-9T-4370KV-Brushless-Motor-1-10-Car-Combo-w-Program-Card-/380652257154?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item58a0a47f82 And also will I get any extra battery time on brushless
