Well we finally got some of this snow here in Chichester. Unfortunately it only lasted for about two hours and didn't lay as the ground is too wet 🙃

So i'm sure some of you will have seen this already, but this is a home built 1/3 scale V10 RC Car, by a guy on Youtube named 'Keith57000'. The project is ongoing & i've been watching for a while now, but his latest video shows off quite a lot of progress. If you haven't seen it already then i'm sure you'll love it, it's pretty special

What are your plans for it James, a basher or a racer? I feel you done the right thing by going brushed for now, it also gives you a chance to get use to how it handles etc. Before adding a dollop of power...
Heck when we next meet I wouldn't mind giving you a hand if you wanted to do a brush less upgrade.

Well it's a been a great tournament and it's really brought the country together at a time when people need it. Whatever happens tonight we've done brilliantly, and I think there is a chance we can do it. It'll be great to see our boys bring the trophy home, Come on England 🏴🏆

now I’m torn, you see I have Italian roots so either team winning would be a good result (sorry, I know it should be England).

Well this is pretty nuts! An attempt at the RC long jump record using a car fitted with a rocket! Apparently they managed 285 feet (86 meters) which I think does break the Paddlesworth record. And the car survived too! Enjoy the vid ☺️

@jimbulsara Yeah I think it's Kevin's record of around 70 meters. I think it's fine to compare them though because as far as I know there aren't any rules against using a rocket at Paddlesworth 😜. It's about building a dedicated long jump RC car with what ever means necessary. I think we may even see people using rockets at this years Paddlesworth event in order to try and break the record. 🚀

Reminds me of when I was younger and created a dual rocket engine mount for my top force which was controlled via my plane TX.
I had great plane of seeing this car disappear off down the road with flames behind it, but it essence all it did was spin in circles once you ignited the engines!!! 😆

So Kevs just uploaded a vid with his new Kraton 8s EXB. Awesome looking model, goes like stink, he said it handles great and all round looks like a lot of fun. But surprise surprise, multiple broken parts and a bent chassis on the first run...
I think that Arrma really need to up their game when it comes to their higher end models.
These retail for £750, just for the rolling chassis, and are labelled 'EXB' for extreme basher. Well if you can't even get through a single bash session without it breaking then can they really justify that name?
Sidenote: I realise that a Kevin bash session is quite different from how most people will be treating their models, but I honestly don't think he went that hard on it in this video, apart from maybe the big airs at the skatepark. Either way, i'll be interested to hear what you guys think.

Thinking about getting a Hyper VSe for the spring/summer season & noticed that they're set up to run 2x 2s lipos in series (different from all my other RC's). Now that's fine as I have plenty of 2s lipo's with the correct plugs, but I was wondering if it'll be possible to run it on a single 4s lipo?
I've had a good look around and only been able to find one place with the correct adapter (1 male 2 female deans) and it's a chinese seller on Ebay with delivery on the 28th April...
So I was wondering if any of you happened to know of a better place to buy said adapter? & also is it actually fine to run a single 4s on this ESC or is there a reason why these adapters seemingly don't really exist?

should be able to use a plug stopper on one of the esc plugs and if room room a 4s lump what i do buddy if battery compartment has the room 🙂

It was always gonna be either the Typhon or the Hyper for me. And the more time that's gone by & the more research i've done has now got my mind firmly set on the Hobao. Plus I always wanted a nitro Hyper 7 when I was a lot younger but never ended up getting one. Got the Losi LST2 instead, which I still have, but i'm yet to get it up & running again. I think that'll be an upcoming project for me this spring.

@Nick Ah ok, I thought that might be the case. I've been after some for a while but they've been out of stock every where. I guess it's a very common item to break on these models. Thanks for your reply though Nick, I guess i'll just pre order them and hope that you guys get them on 13th as well.
