Depends, if you build a lot of kits, I think it pays to sacrifice buying another RC and investing in some proper tools. I dread to think whatmy RC tool kit cost, probably the same as a Tamiya Avante, but I wouldnt be without it!

Just buy a Hobbywing 1060 ESC around £20, and run lipo with stock motor. Brushless is just going to break stuff and cost you more in the long run -
I use a Noble NB4, receivers are quite pricey mind
