Not been on here in 5 years! Would like to post a possible swap me topic but where does this thread belong?
-
Letter from Virgin media, " sorry we have to increase the price" this is goning to take me to £71.60 per month time to leave
-
These prices seem to be all over the place with services.
You wouldn't get it at a Cafe ~ by that what I mean is if you look at the menu and it says "Tea £1" that's what you pay. Next customer walks in, looks at the menu and buys tea as well also for £1.
Not tea for £1 to you, 50 pence to someone else, £3 to another customer etc etc.
@Jack Reacher I buy it all through Sky and tbh haven't paid more than £50 per month in 5 years with a decent TV package. House line phone calls would cost but then we don't use it, just there for incoming calls or emergency.

Well I think the time has come to sell the summit and slash! Summit hasn't been used in 12 months and the slash hasn't moved since I bought it.

had to put down one of my furry pals at the vet earlier, he was my sisters cat but we have been looking after him for years and he really latched onto me, would always cuddle me but he was over 16 year old 😞
rip fraggles you will be missed 😞

Sorry for your loss @Yrkoon .
Looked like a beautiful Cat and I'm sure you gave him his best life. ❤️

Our family cat (my avatar) died this morning. Went to let him out and he was just motionless in his bed. Seemed fine last night, must have been a heart condition we weren't aware of. All devastated, particularly the kids, he was one of the family... ☹️

Sorry for your loss @bertberr .
Such short lives they have but their unconditional love touches us and means so much to us than they'd ever know. My condolences.

what decent tools for rc would you recommend guys? mines nearly all rounded off.
-
MIP without a doubt.
Yes as @MrCake says they do cost but honestly it's worth it if you know these are tools you will be using for the rest of your life.
I have x3 MIP metric allen drivers and x3 MIP imperial allen drivers ~ total cost was around £74 (so £12 odd each). I don't think that's a ridiculous price to pay for them considering I'm sure they'll last me a life time.

Out of the loop, so what's the new "hot stuff"? After some break now i'm not quite in the loop whether or not there are some proper good RCs out there that i haven't owned (or currently own). Didn't see anything of interest from neither Arrma nor Traxxas, had the Maxx so no need for the WideMaxx despite it being a decent RC (probably). Anything new 6s/8s worth a look, or am i gonna hum and aww over the Hyper MT Plus II Roller now, to stuff my MMX8s in there?

Just in case you missed it@m4inbrain have you entered the Gold Members Corally 6S buggy comp yet?
Welcome back.

question on Hobbywing Quickrun 10BL60, imthinking of one to put in the wltoys 124018 but what motor to go with it, not after speed just want it to be nippy and reliable
-
MM2 is a very capable ESC. More so the "Retro" version but even the newer one's are still excellent.
I used mine in a Typhon 6S speed running upto 115mph when I changed to the XLX2 only because one became available for a good price.
I know people have used them and got into the 130's with them.
Can't compare the Hobbywing sorry as I've not used the M8.

Yeah I was pushing the ESC purely as it was all I had to fit in the car and didn't want to buy a new ESC at the time. I think most people were surprised it didn't go up in flames but then it was a speed run so was only on max for a matter of seconds before slowing down/cool off.
I tried pushing it further but hit the limit, ...think it gave me 88mph if I remember right. Now using a Castle Mamba Monster 2 in it and so far 106mph on 3S. 😉
