  1. Hi Gaz. I have the 1/18 Gelande II D90 and Black Hawk and I'm interested in your Black Rock body to use on one of those chassis. But does it come with the bumpers?
  2. Can anyone recommend a decent budget Ultrasonic cleaner for RC and 00 gauge train parts. I have no knowledge about them. Thanks.

  3. This is mine. They're a good trail truck 🙂👍
  4. I'm a big Cross fan but this doesn't do it for me. I may have been more interested if it had a hard body. I agree about the angled bumper. A beam bumper would look much better.
  5. Sold. Please close. Thanks
  6. I'm selling my FTX Mauler because I don't use it much. It's in very good condition. It comes with the radio and manual but no box. It has some hop ups fitted: Metal Diff Lockers Front & Rear. Metal C-Hubs. Metal Steering Knuckles. Metal Link Mounts Front & Rear. (All original parts are included). Also included is a functional spare wheel & tyre. The front body hinge has been taken off and the optional front body posts are installed instead. This is enables the body to be fully removed. The hinge and screws are included if you want to revert it back to stock. I've listed it on eBay for £140 inc delivery but I will sell it here for £125 inc delivery. I will accept PayPal as payment and you cover the fees. I will send it by Royal Mail 2nd class signed for.
  7. New Ebay payment confusion. Help Please.

I was informed by Ebay recently that they are stopping using PayPal as a means of receiving payment if you sell on there. They said this would mean they would be dealing with all transactions themselves and I pay a one off payment per transaction, which "most sellers will pay the same or less than before". I've just sold an RC for £120 with free delivery.  Ebay have taken £15.66 for their fees. Now correct me if I'm wrong but that seems a bit excessive to me. If the payment had gone through PayPal then their fee would have been £3.78 on the £120, and I'm sure Ebay wouldn't have taken another £11.88 for their fees.  Am i missing something or are they blatantly ripping me off.  I knew where I was with PayPal and the money was instantly in my account as soon as the buyer paid. Now it seems I have to wait a few days. I'm not happy about this. Why oh why do companies have to change a well tried and tested successful way of doing business. OK rant over. Any advice would be welcome. Yes I know. "Stop selling on Ebay"  hahaha 😂😂😂

@DogBone That's extremely useful. Thank you very much 🙂👍

      Fly In My Soup

Turok, they had to levy a fee on postage as the Chinese started taking advantage....so if an item was £51...they would List the items for 99p...with £50 postage... Thus avoiding fees altogether....

They could of just capped postage really... But guessed they then reversed the taking advantage scenario.

As guns said, I try sell when it's £1 max fee listings now...

I still pay £50 a month in fees.... But heck, its better than paying the £500 I once was🤣

I dont use ebay now. they allow scammers to buy your item, say something is wrong with it, never send it back, then get a refund as well. As they always side with the buyer.  Then on top of that they still kept there fees as well!

  8. There's this if you're still looking https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Axial-AX10-Deadbolt-body/294072633738
  9. Has anyone bought from Make-It-Build-it recently. I ordered some parts that were "in stock" on Saturday and my order is still showing as "Being Processed" in my account this morning. I've emailed them but had no reply. The irritating thing is I received am email from Modelsport the next day notifying me the same items were back in stock, and I always prefer to buy from them because I receive my orders within one or  two days, regardless of the pandemic.

Bit naughty, even worse if you do it on eBay, I always thought you had to have the items to hand to advertise on there......

Thanks for all your replies.  Unfortunately they confirm my initial suspicions. They did get back to me via email this afternoon and this is what they said :-

      "Hi Derek,

Just looked into this for you.

It looks like this should have left us this week but we had a stock discrepancy on the Fenders, I do apologise as you should had received an update regarding this and this it looks like this wasn't sent.

We have more stock due to arrive with us next week and we'll aim to get this dispatched as soon as available to send.

Apologies for the inconvenience, please let me know if I can help with anything else.

      Kind Regards

      Emma

      Make It Build It"

So it sounds like the same thing has happened to me too. I ordered some Sendero inner fenders from them because they were the only place that showed them "in stock" at the time 😄

I don't know if I should buy another set from Modelsport and if I do get the ones from MIBI I can sell them on or wait and see what happens next week.

One thing I am certain about is I won't be using them again.

    SOLD

SOLD Up for sale is my Axial SCX24 1967 Chevrolet C10 RTR I bought this last March and it's been used four times in the garden. I went through a "Micro stage" last year and bought quite a lot. Now I'm selling some as I only want to keep a few. As you can see from the photos it's in great condition and I've put on the chrome roll bar and spot lights. The only other thing I've done is add some grease to the shocks. It also comes with the box and the accessories which include TX, battery, charger, manual, tools, spare links. You will need AA batteries for the controller. I want £110 inc delivery. PayPal only please and buyer covers fees. I will send it Royal Mail 48 Tracked and signed for. Thanks for looking. Edit - Now on Ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324509234933
  11. I agree with you @Jack Reacher about the quality of the body decals. The cream ones never sat right on mine and were peeling out of the box. I took them off. They come off easily without any cutting. Personally I prefer this look.
  12. Hi, as the title says I'm looking for an Axial SCX10 313mm Gen 1. Runner or rolling chassis. Thanks
  13. Here's mine. Thanks https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAFR4BiEMb2OMAQtNJon2Yw?view_as=public
  14. @.AJ. @Ninetiesbeard @Alex97 Many thanks everyone. Much appreciated. I will pass the info on. I think you've made someone very happy 😊👍
  15. Could anyone tell me what this RC is please. This is a screen grab from my friends video and he's asking for help to identify it. The chassis looks very similar to an HPI Firestorm, and the body looks familiar, but I just can't place it. Thanks 😊👍 .
  16. I bought one of these from Ampro Engineering. Easy to fit and works well. I think it was sent from Holland but it only took 3 - 4 days. https://www.shapeways.com/product/G72GAY3NL/w01002-01-cw01-lunchbox-pumpkin-trans-brace?optionId=59473028&li=shops Their video about it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSXp4eXlc4o 😊👍
  17. @Jack Reacher Sorry to hear about your bad luck. You shouldn't have a problem getting a refund for the extra lipo's from Modelsport. Last year I bought a Carisma Coyote Pup and an led set for it from them. Long story short, first one faulty after 3 runs, new replacement sent, that one faulty after two runs, new replacement sent, that one faulty after one run so I rang them to ask for a full refund, including the led set, which they were happy to do, and they sent me a prepaid return post label too. I can't fault Modelsports customer care.
  18. You're very welcome. I didn't know how to fit the kit when I got it and it didn't come with instructions. I assume you will, but in case you don't I found this video very useful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OB--09t5BmM&t=5s I don't know how good the spares availability is for FTX but the Hobby Plus ones here will fit and may be cheaper too (Chrome wheels for example). https://www.asiatees.com/model?Hobby Plus-CR-18-Parts-Hop-Ups&brand=Hobby Plus&model=CR-18 The other thing I've done is split the axles and lightly greased the diff gears. They were bone dry. I've also fitted the hop up 100T High Torque Motor, but to be honest I don't notice any difference from the stock 88T. Handy as a spare though ! I'm very impressed with how capable these RC's are, and it's become very useful in these days of self isolation. Thank you for the subscription too. It's really nice to hear my videos have been helpful to other people. I've made some videos in my garden with my 1/24 micro crawlers over the past few days, including the RGT24 V2 Adventurer (Defender). I will upload them over the next few weeks.
  19. @Jack Reacher I've had the Hobby Plus version for a few months and they are excellent. They are exactly the same as the FTX. I bought the pickup because it was on a half price offer from Geekbuying in January. I also bought the other two bodysets. Check to see if yours has the newer panhard set up. Mine didn't and the steering was very limited. Bad bump steer too. I bought this conversion kit. https://www.asiatees.com/display?Hobby-Plus-CR-18-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=Hobby+Plus&model=CR-18&id=162617&pid=1 It's very cheap and easy to fit. It's made a huge difference. The best feature of these RC's are the tyres. Very soft and very grippy. These are some videos of mine with the three different bodies before the lockdown.
  20. Hello Stretch, HM Armed Forces Soldier Action Figures are the best size for Sawbacks. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/158679/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=HM+Armed+Forces+Soldier+Action+Figure Action Men are 12 inches tall, too big and look daft. 7" action figures like WWE wrestlers are too small and look daft . HM Armed Forces Figures are just over 10 inches tall and look just right. Many people use them in their Sawbacks. I have one for my Sawback project. I can't show you him sat in it because I haven't put the seats in yet. 😊👍
