Self isolation cos daughter had a cough for days. A cough she gets every year after the summer. A bark of a cough its weird but rang the Drs to see if she needed anti bionics this time or not cos it has become chest infection sometimes.
The dr rang back and whilst on the phone heard the kid cough from another room and just automatically started i think that's covid related. Definitely. You need to isolate and get a test.
Well Dr she does this every year look at her file.
No no ill give you antibiotics but you'll still have to isolate get a test i don't need to see you.
That seems so stupid. Insult to injury he gave her adult capsules she couldn't swallow. Called them back and they said come collect the liquid form then.
Just throwing antibiotics at us no care when usually they guard antibiotics like bulldogs since being stupid with those is very dangerous too they already hardly work anymore. I've seen programs of antibiotics 50yrs ago we had a suitcase full of effective drugs. Today just a handful and the rise of super bugs. It doesn't look good.
I cant believe it tbh first they just wanna say everything is covid. 2nd throwing antibiotics away when most people would happily take them for a common cold not actual infection.
Now 3 days later kid isn't even coughing.
Nevermind the mess trying to get a covid test. Walking 8 miles to the closest walk in centre seemed likely. Until the granny said just ask the school. We asked the school and they said sure come and get one. How granny knew the school had tests to give out when we didn't is a mystery.
So if you need a test and its long try all the local schools too for a home test.
We have another choice too just isolate for 14 days no test no nothing.
I really thought we was almost over this stuff or atleast had a grip now.
I think actually those who should be doing the most are taking the easiest route out at every turn. Just like that Dr who heard a cough from another room whilst on the phone. No face to face just get a test be somebody else's problem.
What a laugh.

About 20 years ago I had a 15yr old Staffy his ear swelled up too
I took him to the vet and they charged me £100 to drain it but about 2 months later it swelled up exactly the same again
it cost £400 to put right that time as they had to open the ear flap and seal off some blood vessel.
I have a Staffy puppy now and I hope the same thing doesn't happen to her.
