  1. It will definitely be a keeper rc with so many mods and conversions possible plus the traxxas parts support and upgrades will keep it interesting for years im sure.
  2. Great build mate. I orderd my youngest daughter one last night for Xmas her older sisters have the 1ten's but starting small do you think these would be good fun with lego courses? The kids have a mountain of that and big play boards to build on. I'll be interested to moddong its alittle which few things make the biggest improvements. Possibly one of those turbo Escs?
  3. Sounds interesting mate I love the looks of the yeti score I think axial nailed it with the green too.
  4. I like it that will help us install those big badlands easier cleaner now. But I think I would benefit from some plastic mould stuff front light pods atleast.
  5. Hpi savage XS would be the smallest scale monster truck i would get it is heavier and higher powerd compared to other 1/16ths its actually very fast but you could tame it down with different electronics and the truck will thank you for it since it is so over powerd as factory it soon wears out alot of moving parts. A slower system mayb even fast brushed set up would be good in a medium sized garden and hopefully not wear out so fast. My #1 garden basher is axial though since speed isn't needed they are plenty fast enough then its upto you to build courses and stuff or just jack the suspension to wobbly, then do egg in the egg cup runs around the garden vs the kids. Or get two and fit a balloon and pin and play pop the balloon. Axials are tons of fun in the garden. A trx4 is also capable of going fast too. My kids 2s stampede 4x4 is too much for out medium sized garden it just gets tangled in anything before even getting near top speed. When the axials get tangled up though they pull themselves back out the bushes.
  6. Which peice of the diff broke? Was it one of the spider gears inside. The case blew or the outdrives. Either which way a spider diff should be a great upgrade. I dont know much about the spider diff but I think it has extra gears inside plus beautiful alloy case it has to be stronger than anything standard included.
  7. You can make your own light controller from an old servo. The little clear blue micro servos are great for it. You just desolder the servo motor then solder on a female jst plug in its place. Plug the leds into that and the original servo plug into the rx. It can be a real pain finding the spot where it works though. Dialing the servo pot and radio ch3 trim. Its best to have a 3 position switch 3ch radio you can get half power, full power or strobe modes usually doing it.
  8. Those goolRc combos are brilliant arent they tons of power my kids stampede has the 60a 3500kv fitted too and just on 2s it looks good next to my 1/8 powerd 3s slash brilliant power we might try the goolRc on 3s soon just to see if it can handle it lol. Hopefully the brushless model arrma has some upgrades easily to order that will help the arrma.
  9. I tried too i think I wread its the resistors or something you would have to wire a timer in mayb.
  10. Looks wrong to me but if I had that rc ide probably still ne keen. Its a good sign though that proline is still dedicated to all brands.
  11. Ide trade you some badlands 3.8 with rims new never glued desperado rims included foams etc just need gluing but not in original packaging.
  12. Self isolation cos daughter had a cough for days. A cough she gets every year after the summer. A bark of a cough its weird but rang the Drs to see if she needed anti bionics this time or not cos it has become chest infection sometimes.

The dr rang back and whilst on the phone heard the kid cough from another room and just automatically started i think that's covid related. Definitely. You need to isolate and get a test.

Well Dr she does this every year look at her file.

No no ill give you antibiotics but you'll still have to isolate get a test i don't need to see you.

That seems so stupid. Insult to injury he gave her adult capsules she couldn't swallow. Called them back and they said come collect the liquid form then.

Just throwing antibiotics at us no care when usually they guard antibiotics like bulldogs since being stupid with those is very dangerous too they already hardly work anymore. I've seen programs of antibiotics 50yrs ago we had a suitcase full of effective drugs. Today just a handful and the rise of super bugs. It doesn't look good.

I cant believe it tbh first they just wanna say everything is covid. 2nd throwing antibiotics away when most people would happily take them for a common cold not actual infection.

Now 3 days later kid isn't even coughing.

Nevermind the mess trying to get a covid test. Walking 8 miles to the closest walk in centre seemed likely. Until the granny said just ask the school. We asked the school and they said sure come and get one. How granny knew the school had tests to give out when we didn't is a mystery.

So if you need a test and its long try all the local schools too for a home test.

We have another choice too just isolate for 14 days no test no nothing.

I really thought we was almost over this stuff or atleast had a grip now.

I think actually those who should be doing the most are taking the easiest route out at every turn. Just like that Dr who heard a cough from another room whilst on the phone. No face to face just get a test be somebody else's problem.

    What a laugh.

  13. I think the mt410 is a high grade RC so can only use a high grade lid to be the cherry on top. Just reinforce the body after painting with some shoe goo and dry wall tape. I swear by the stuff. I fully covered my raptor bodies after seeing many split early. My kids 1/10 has been bashed and crashed often and still looks awesome. It just has a dent in the front skirt which I'm certain would have been a split without the skrim tape goo'd in.
  14. Pictured it with a proline raptor on box art i think. Kinda the standard. I honesty thought ide buy the kit and get proline wheels/body lol. I first found out no wheels are included and managed to talk myself around ok ill buy them. I still get the proline body included right. Nope. So that was that out the window. I ended up making my own mt410 ish truck with a tessman truggy using buggy chassis but still haven't used it other than a quick garden test. Almost 2yrs now since I started it. Sat getting dusty for a year now almost.
  15. Probably posted already jhonnyQ90 3 speed brushless conversion.

This is a guy ide love to see interviewed by the forum. Where did he study what did he study. He's shaping up to be an RC legend. Already is imo but im sure he's just getting started.  Incredible asset to the hobby.

    3. Paul Busby

      Paul Busby

Man go through his back catalogue, the guy is awesome and made some awesome stuff.

Not really sure on the point of a 3 speed gearbox on an electric motor, other than "for the lulz" though 😂

  16. I remember my slash 2wd in reverse lol that was nuts. I try to ignore wheel play now unless an obvious way to fix it. As long as it goes straight and fast no care lol.
  17. I love it. Until I saw that what esc/rx full size no. Just no. Not a chance. 40amp too.
  18. Today the dogs ear swelled up like a golf ball. Eww vets were like oh you need to come quick.

So I did taxi in passed him over 10min later "well we drained his ear but its already puffed to again it will probably turn into a cauliflower ear. But if it troubles him mayb surgery" £75 please. WHAT.

About 20 years ago I had a 15yr old Staffy his ear swelled up too

I took him to the vet and they charged me £100 to drain it but about 2 months later it swelled up exactly the same again

it cost £400 to put right that time as they had to open the ear flap and seal off some blood vessel.

I have a Staffy puppy now and I hope the same thing doesn't happen to her.

      Tug

Our Staffy jumped down off a garden table, had one toe nail caught in the table and was hanging by it. All fixed now.

  19. If i had that as a toy. Life complete. Looks awesome.
  20. is there some issue with axial scx24 stock or do I keep missing it?

I check every month and every month its pushed back a month.  I finally entered my email addy for notification. But seems nuts its still not well stocked.

  21. Dude said it has some kind of disk brake to lock up the rear end for skids. Harley designs I think said it. He also said it looks like a European take on a muscle car lol. Not sure how though looks usa to me. Absolutely awesome either way. Let's hope their well stocked.
  22. Another night of lightning ive never been so paranoid by it lol. Living in a gas house boiler in the bedroom.

Tree outback got struck last year blew the top off it  its been totally removed now.

Last night half way in one crash sounded like a bomb not thunder just an instant explosion.

This one's gonna last till 1am.

Has anyone been in a house struck I know you've more chance winning the lotto lol. But we all expect to win that when playing too.

Last night it was like a strobe light non stop lightning. It was nuts.

Mayb I should just swig the JD and watch it.

      .AJ.

I’ve been in the plumbing/heating game for over 20 years and I’ve never heard of a issue with boilers and lightning. Make sure you have a co2 alarm near the boiler tho, if you rent then your landlord should provide you one

  23. I dont like the sound of it. Does this mean proline was failing atleast to a point or the owner just wanted to retire was the proline rcs a bite to far. If they keep proline as is no problem but if they and probably will go corporate with it damn. It might be cool for the horizon kits to come with proline parts as standard mayb they'll do specials too. Like traxxas does special bodies. Arrma can now loosely not so loosely copy proline tires treads all they want lol. Mayb theyll have pro models for everything that just include proline body, wheels and tires. That might be cool. Especially if the body is clear or has a clear option.
  24. I love mine im only changing it to on road cos I have a 1/8 MT now but I'm keeping all the parts to convert it back its been the best rc I've had but its 4x4 3-4s stupidly upgraded which I would do again. Only the chassis, towers, bulkheads and arms are standard on it. Bearings too. Its never had a single broken part either despite skatepark use but probably only had less than 10hrs use total. I think the HR roll cage has saved it more than afew times. It once rang the half pipe like a bell launching straight into the handrail square on with the roof landed on its wheels still and straight back ready to drop in. It goes atleast house gutter high. I love the badland mx28 tires they've last great mayb 2hrs on loose gravel alittle tarmac but mostly used on grass. I'm sure I'll convert it back to MT in the future. I got the body with an sc10 so decided to just cut it up to see how it worked and ended up just keeping it that way. It popped the posts through the rear quickly since its pretty much just a shelf over the back wheels. I shoo goo'd some body washers on then skrim tape and its been sweet since. Now its going on road for abit. Corvette C6r but keep getting side tracked but ill get there lol.
  25. I wish traxxas would just drop the plastic battery mount and use lipo straps i don't understand the reluctance I know i wish my traxxas stuff used TRX straps instead of the silly plastic limiting bars. I wonder if they do it to ensure their batteries fit best lol. Also think it should be called stampede 2.0. Get ready for the slash 2.0 to follow.
