Kit arrived from Amazon in the US in 4 days Also picked up a set of J Concepts Renegade tyres on Aggressor rims from MS And a nice AGFRC servo from SMD Motor and esc wise I’ve got a Castle Copperhead in my parts box, I’ll probably pair it to a Castle 1412 2100kv and run 3s No idea on the body yet, this is a longer term project so progress might slow after the initial kit/roller build 👍

Lowered the blazer high trail. Looks better than the stock height. Still needs a little more. Fitted some 1.9 beadlocks with the largest 1.9s I had. Removed the bump stops. The rear is fine. The front will need a short bump stop to stop the front tyres rubbing. Has a load of articulation.

Been cracking on with the build, not one issue at all, pics to follow but for now I’ve been messing with the rims, I hated the centre caps being the same colour and having the screws stand out like a sore thumb So Rit Dyed them 👍

Cracked on with the TLR LMT build 👍

The fusion is amazing I can set cruise control on the TRX4 and TRX6 and it keeps same speed no matter what as with the TRX6 below

Yesterday i started on the TLR LMT build And this morning i took the Ecto build out for its maiden run 👍

Servo is excellent, loads of power Combo is amazing, the low control and drag brake and holding power is excellent, plenty enough wheel speed on 2s with a 18t pinion Tyres worked well Could do with a touch more weight up front, brass knuckles would sort that Overall I’m really happy with the build, one thing I’ve said to myself is this isn’t a shelf build, so it won’t be getting the normal AJ post running clean up, a quick brush down and that’s it 👍

Afternoon all. It’s been a while.. I dug my 10.2 out of its retirement ‘home’ (a box in the spare room) the other day…and I’m thinking a resurrection is on the cards 🤔

Fitted the Bronco body. The front bumper is on backorder so I've fitted the one in the picture for now.

I cannot deny their following so they must be fine, BUT I just wish they had a different brand name……

Radio gear arrived, still no sign of the driveshafts though 🤔 Gotta say I’m really impressed with the TX, certainly doesn’t come across as a £50 one 👍

And so it begins… This was going to be a quick and easy refresh - a new body (that I bought 3yrs ago) and a new set of wheels (that bought last week)…but that plan didn’t last long 🤣 So nothing had changed with my 10.2 since my last update 3yrs ago.. It’s funny seeing my first attempt at roll cage again…WAAAYY TOOO heavy but I learned a lot about brazing. The new MST JP1 body still looks great to me. But those old wheels have gotta go! Money can’t buy you love..but it can buy you new wheels 😃 This is where my cunning plan started to go sideways. I trimmed the body when I first got it, but hadn’t noticed it didn’t really line up that well on the chassis - it’s not a mile out but it would bug me not sitting square on the frame. I don’t think it’s the body that’s twisted, I think it’s the chassis - I mean, it has more holes in it than a second hand dart board and has been apart more times than I can remember! So I decided a new chassis was called for and after a bit ‘surfing’ I’ve settled on the Rock Pirates Interceptor chassis along with some other goodies from RPRC…the shipping is £25 regardless, so might as well cover all the bases and make the most of it. Anyway, that’s it for now folks 😃

Finally fitted the heavy duty links, a twin motor winch and put 5000 weight silicon diff oil in the shocks to try and control the insane body roll. Off to SST pay and play tomorrow, can’t wait.

Looks good. I use the hycote stuff, I've had quite good results.

Outside, shot a thin coat of some random lexan paint as a primer and then some Hycote Matt black paint that was £6 off Amazon 👍

What a kit, I can see why it’s so expensive now, I didn’t realise all the cross bracing were aluminium Ive also built the shocks and diffs, they are all standard 1/8 buggy sized stuff

I ended up with the tyres I linked, they seem decent and I’ll be testing them tomorrow morning. I’m going to pick up a set of Rocko’s for my spare set of rims when they come back into stock 👍

Few bits for the Losi 5ive. Changed around what i ordered, Taylor RC rear diff case, Taylor RC rear brace, Taylor RC titanium hinge pins, Bonehead RC rear hinge pin holders and some grease.

The bling wheels arrived, I’m going to save this till the Rocko tyres come back in stock 👍

That's what I do with rod ends that are tight. Get some shock shaft grips. I used to use pliers with insulation tape on for years. The right tool for the job is way better.

Im hearing rumours that MJX are bringing out a 1/10th hypergo MT, and that it will trash Arrma bl3 stuff as full metal gears all way through and 4S out of box, should be a total winner

And Spektrum are charging £36 for a 2 ch lol

More crawling. Put some steel beadlocks on the sendero. Definitely improved performance.

Took the G Wagon for an evening crawl on Hunstanton beach earlier and watch the sunset. Got a couple of nice shots as well. My fingers are just getting their feeling back now, it's quite cold out.
