  1. Lower end of budget, brand new, everything included. Battery and charger. Spares and upgrades easily available with the option to upgrade to brushless and LiPo later. I would suggest this Traxxas Rustler The suggestions for a Hyper7 conversion is all well and good but will probably end up ballooning your budget and risk of buying something that is in need of more attention than someone new to the hobby would like. Mine and many others suggestion for this budget would normally be a HPI Firestorm but seeing as the models and spares are not readily available right now Traxxas is the way to go.

  7. It's kind of like an inside joke. You see. When anyone. And I mean ANYONE mentions carbon fiber. Nick will remind everyone about how carbon fiber is dangerous to inhale like asbestos. So nick went and said you might as well use asbestos because to him. Carbon fiber might as well be asbestos. Random person : I got a carbon fibe- Nick: ITS JUST BLACK ASBESTOS. Yeah I'm exaggerating this. But in a nutshell, nick sees them both as the same thing. And I can't blame him. Carbon fiber suffers similar issues to asbestos. If you inhale the strands of fibre, it will get stuck in your lungs like asbestos. Although not as much that it warrants a mass extermination of it. Asbestos is a really structurally great material. But that's why it's harmful. It's so strong, that if mico sized strands enter your body, your body can't get rid of them. All I know is carbon fiber is less harmful but still harmful.

  10. Sainsbury's and Tesco always has Fosters in stock, it's not very nice, goes like treacle on a hot day but it will get you drunk cheaply if you can stomach it. However, if you wait a few days or are prepared to shop around, you can bless your pallette with Harvey's Sussex Best.

  13. Anything thats on supplier stock at wheelspin takes at least 2 weeks for them to get it into the shop ,if ur lucky..i know i live 5 minutes away & go in the shop every week to order something or other but don't have to pay postage which is nice. Shadow stock they get it within 2-3 days. I've also ordered from horizon europe & if its in stock its turned up within 4-5 days but if the order is under £80 i think it is, you've got postage on top to pay. I do love horizon hobby stuff they are bringing new stuff out nearly every week but this is becoming common practice for them to release a new truck/plane/heli & not have any spare parts for them for weeks after!!..even stuff thats been out years is mostly on supplier stock now. I brought a new release eflite plane last year & on the first flight the prop spinner cracked & of course the part wasn't available for 5-6 weeks after..id got a new plane i couldn't fly! thats quite annoying to say the least! This also happend when i brought my dbxl-e when they first came out, there was a shim missing from the steering rack & had to wait weeks for it to be in stock. I think horizon have dropped the ball on this issue & need to up their game for uk folk. On another note traxxas stuff is far easier to get hold of.

  14. Just replace the wires. A metre of 12 gauge is around 3 quid. I don't think it's worth extending, just replace....in the colour of your choice!

  15. It's only the truth though. When the Capo was released, one particular YouTuber got one, built it, then never run it, 6 months later admitted on social media it was too delicate to run and fell apart during running

  17. Had a mini crawl with my mate’s brushless Wraith last night, loving these new tyres - even on slick wet clay they still stuck like glue, crawling up slopes the Wraith had to use wheel speed to get up lol. Not to mention they look better with some dirt on them now [emoji23][emoji23]

  19. BRCA insurance is £20 generally worth having. Just check the BRCA website. For crawlers you don't really need it for the track and Dan doesn't require it, it's mainly for the 1/8 and 1/5, as they do pose a genuine safety issue. Also 1/5 needs a killswitch and a silencer fitted. In respect to Facebook, it means they don't have to pay to host a website, maintain a website or ask people to sign up to it. No one likes Facebook but that's just how it is. The RC communities on facebook are quite active, however the level of English is diabolical and it makes you worry for the human race.
