  5. Was having a quick ganders on the net and looked into the HPI site. Found this nifty little video about how to start and tune the baja (i presume its the same with all petrols). HPI Baja Video Shame it didnt go over how to treat the engine over the first tank or so but i guess thats described in the manual which this fella did tell you to read

  6. Great power and excellent handling characteristics distinguish this buggy, developed from the drivers of many proven competition. Some features: - Motor type: Brushless Electric - Drive: 4WD - Scale: 1:10 - Pre painted body - 2.4ghz radio system Source: RC Car action. This reminds me of marmite, you either love it or hate it? 7. Plugs fine mate. Turn your low needle to 1 1/4. When you drive it steadily apply throttle and get it moving instead of blipping it. It's probably flooded now. Also is your air filter over oiled?I'm about Wednesday if your not sorted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. I've had a few Flysky receivers die on me - but who cares? They are so crazy cheap you just get another and carry on. In contrast the KO system I use for my race cars the receivers are £60 each. Yes its much better than the Flysky, but I wouldn't want to risk one in my boat or beach bashing with my Wheely King, or in the snow with my Blizzard. Flysky stuff is so cheap its basically disposable......

  10. From what I can tell, there just a refresh from the existing Strada Evo's - though before purchasing I'd get Modelsport to confirm - differences look mostly cosmetic and a new top plate 'style'. I've run a clone of the orig Strada (non evo) in SCT flavour for over a year, and whilst it's not used much now due to 8th scales, considering the price I'd recommend one. Parts are easy to source and cheap, and there's a lot of (non essential) hop ups, though nowhere near what's avail for many of the Tamiya's. The MT version has a design issue whereas the chassis won't bottom out before the shocks run out of travel, which results in bent front dogbones. I've never had the truggy but have an inkling there the same. TC and SCT don't suffer from it.

  12. yeah i agree Noj, thats why i asked what sort of thing he was after, i think 1/10 may be better for space to use it etc because the XO-1 will need a lot of room

  18. I've been pondering this exact same problem for over a month and I personally finally settled for the Absima cr3p. Its reasonably priced has enough features on it and the receiver costs are £13!! I got mine here as it has a couple of rx's to get you going http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ABSIMA-3-Channel-RADIO-SYSTEM-CR3P-2-4GHz-2-Receivers-Hpi-Baja-5b-Losi-/332029177739?hash=item4d4e7b2f8b:g:jPAAAOSwgZ1XrdNq

  20. The chappy in my shop was really clued up on it, Apparently its all available to view on the government website. There was even more reg's I've just forgotten all what he told me. Did mention something about each new juice/flavour will have to be tested at a cost of £4,500 per flavour! Now that will shut a lot of these smaller businesses down In an instant. As for the tanks...well mine is a cleito with the bigboy mod, so 5mm. However like the guys were saying, to get around this new 2mm ruling there is nothing stopping you from buying the tank in individual pieces therefore it would not be classed as a kit But yep you got it. Government losing wonga hand over foot through smoking decline so got to squeeze it from somewhere else. I mean jeez, it's gonna be like popping down your local dealers back ally in a few years for a bit of blow Yeah mate can I have 10mms of your super strength e juice please, I'm skint though....on tick til payday OK?!!!

  32. Go ahead you know you want one. Have been thinking about different bodies for Outback and remembered one I had used on a CC-01 which is close enough to the Outback wheelbase. Pro-line 1966 Ford F100 pickup.Might get one and try it out. Here's the CC-01 with the body. John

  33. Update. Haven't as of yet tried out the fishing line on the Mashers test. Ended up buying a set of dish rims with Proline Bow ties. Completely changed the way the Revo handles. It now accelerates faster and just handles better all together. New modifications include: Picco 2099 tuned pipe. Answer rc 3 shoe alloy clutch. Separate 17T vented Answer rc clutch bell. Turbo button head (en route from Italy) with Picco medium Turbo plugs. Heavy duty slipper rebuild kit with alloy pads. New high flow fuel filter. Exhaust cooler. To fit the new 3 shoe clutch kit was a bit of a dog. Ended up having to dremel part of the servo housing and increase the size of the transmission slots to move the whole tyranny forward on the truck. All in all the improvements I've seen from the wheels/tyres, clutch and pipe are great. The Revo is running as smooth as butter now. Santa should be bringing me a new body etc for Xmas so well on the way to completion now.

  35. It's not too shabby. The picco p-max puts out going on 3hp which for a 3.4cc is some good going . It's only just been broken in to be fair, hasn't dropped its balls yet so to speak .

  37. I have been comparing the diff cases to HPi Vorza//D8 ones, whilst the holes in the spur gears are slightly out,the RB V2 diff cases look to be very similar,so if needed the spur and diff case could be fitted, the internal gears look the same. I also noticed that the gold alloy hubs on the R come from the HPi Vorza/D8 lightweight options bin.

  38. Other spurs should fit. But you might have to countersink drill them and use flush countersunk screws.
