  1. If it's a 3 shoe clutch system you're after why not try these: http://answer-rc.com/en/2163-answer-rc-clutch-set-w-alloy-shoes-no-bell.html Recently fit one on my picco .21. I needed to move the transmission slightly closer to the front of my revo but once it was all installed it worked great. If you have any doubts about fitment I would contact Answer Rc to make sure it's right for you. Good luck.
  2. This stuff works great for sealing all kinds off leaks, used it myself recently. https://www.amazon.co.uk/V-tech-Copper-Silicone-Instant-Gasket/dp/B00442ONX0 Try sourcing a smaller sized exhaust gasket from your lhs and if it's not a perfect fit use some of the rtv to seal it up better. Good luck.
  3. No vid mate. Was just about to get the GPS on it to see what the top end was like. Then was going to do a bit of filming, the session came to an abrupt end
  4. Well today I went out doing high speed runs and due to the icy conditions and frost lost control and ploughed straight into my pit box.... New front bulkhead and Bell crank bearing ordered! Urgh...
  5. As you can see in the pics above the servos, rx and battery have all been plasti dipped. I found the balloons just ended up ripping so ended up doing the job the right way. You can also see the fishing wire around the front of the Mashers tyres. Turbo head has been fitted and I'm now using Picco turbo plugs. Runs like a dream with the 17-36 gearing. Next job alloy steering arm.
  6. Update: Had a busy weekend finishing the Revo. New Proline Raptor body fully painted and decal'd up. Hope you guys like it
  7. I've altered a few more bits and bobs on it. Once I've finished up with this set of mods I'll post some updated pics. Good luck on your project.
  8. Update. Haven't as of yet tried out the fishing line on the Mashers test. Ended up buying a set of dish rims with Proline Bow ties. Completely changed the way the Revo handles. It now accelerates faster and just handles better all together. New modifications include: Picco 2099 tuned pipe. Answer rc 3 shoe alloy clutch. Separate 17T vented Answer rc clutch bell. Turbo button head (en route from Italy) with Picco medium Turbo plugs. Heavy duty slipper rebuild kit with alloy pads. New high flow fuel filter. Exhaust cooler. To fit the new 3 shoe clutch kit was a bit of a dog. Ended up having to dremel part of the servo housing and increase the size of the transmission slots to move the whole tyranny forward on the truck. All in all the improvements I've seen from the wheels/tyres, clutch and pipe are great. The Revo is running as smooth as butter now. Santa should be bringing me a new body etc for Xmas so well on the way to completion now.
  9. Great topic for the Leeds area, nice one. I've been bashing at nunroyd quite a bit lately. Plenty of dog walkers around though, get some good chases from them, although not ideal. Pretty gutted that Yeadon bmx course is out of bounds, would make a sweet track. I run nitro so no chance getting away with anything there. Good suggestion about getting on at the council for a dedicated track, never easy getting them to do anything like that though!
  10. Looks like I've nominated myself to be another guinea pig then I used two strands, tied them reasonably tight and glued on every other tread. Either way if it works, great. If it destroys them, so be it. I'll invest in some truggy wheels after that and get them taped well to help it.
  11. Tried the old fishing line technique around the Mashers today. Seen some good comments about that from our American neighbours . Hoping it holds up. Used some 40lb braided fishing line and gorilla CA glue.
  12. I'm wanting to change my wheel/tyre setup. I've noticed that some of the revo racers out there use truggy style dish wheels and tyres on their revo's. To be honest I'm clueless in this area, I'm unsure what size or type of tyre, wheel and foam insert to buy. I live local to modelsport_uk in Otley so would appreciate if one of you could point me in the right direction as to which I should shoot for. Looking for 17mm with offset ideally not pre-glued either as I'm wanting to tape them to stop this darn ballooning !
  13. Cheers Froggy. Yeah I need to do some adjusting of the 2 speed. It changes to second way to early , literally at low revs you can hear it change. I've got some work to do on it tomorrow so I'll tighten the screw down a bit more then.
  14. Went into again this morning and had a few issues with stalling at first. Probably due to the mild weather . I'm having a few issues with these Proline Mashers turning into pizza cutters . . . .
  15. It's not too shabby. The picco p-max puts out going on 3hp which for a 3.4cc is some good going . It's only just been broken in to be fair, hasn't dropped its balls yet so to speak .
