  1. Took mine out to an old field I know of from when I where a lad, it ran like a champ, the floureons where excellent, & I'm now practicing full length field wheelies! It's a total blast this truck & tough too, I did a pretty big cartwheel across the field after a wheelie went wrong & I though it was a day ending crash. But nope on it went!!

  10. Someone has been quite liberal with an industrial airbrush! Looks like a rebranded Henglong and you have the RX18 or a derivative so changing the RX/TX setup is not possible but it could be a native 2.4ghz version with the black handset but can't really tell. Someone may have come up with a solution but at least in years gone by, there wasn't one other than replacing the MFU. I think the cheapest option to use your own RX/TX is the Clark TK60 but I've never used one so can't really comment on how good they are. Elmod, IBU, Tamiya all get quite expensive. Elmod and IBU have some awesome features though, like custom sounds, BECs, lipo cut offs and programmable channels etc. Maybe a good opportunity to put a little grease on those gears. They look dry. Don't use too much or it will go all over the insides if your tank.

  13. Cheers fella sadly he has the old style ones I'm after the new ones Op-0083N I've a had another set on order with a Hobao for a few weeks now and the order still says processing lol so it might be a while before anymore are released .. Im after replacing the dog bones to these new cvds all round as the just so much better, but thanks for the heads up You might want to try adjusting the servo link and the steering links sounds like you got one or both unequal. How you finding that link fella made much of a difference on turning radius for you ?

  14. Took it off the shelf. Unpacked all the charge gear. Got the lipo's out. Put it all on the table. Stood back and looked at it. Packed it all back up. Really can't be bothered. There's a good 1/2 hour I won't get back. At least I got round to putting the bullets on the spare motors that have been sat in their boxes since about June.

  15. Glad your enjoying it Jim, to be honest I've ditched the X Maxx and gone back to bashing this instead if the truth be told, it's just a shed load more durable and give me more fun factor as I'm never worried it will break lol .. These new cvds are awesome fella just a pity they've become like chickens teeth to get hold of

  16. You can buy from this guy: http://www.rctankelectronics.com/store/p34/TARR_Smoke_Unit.html. He also makes IBU which is a good alternative MFU.

  17. The Polish bloke does Tarr smokers. The ones I've had work pretty well.

  18. You'll need to ditch the stock board and fit an Elmod or something similar... The stock board will take 2s lipo, but has no lvc, so fit a buzzer. Stock smoke machine is crap, upgrades available from some Polish bloke on ebay, makes a big difference and is plug and play. Have an issue with the track tensioners coming loose on mine, so beware....

  25. Hobbywigs have never worked out for me. As Doddy below I have to have my esc's at 3.5v to cut correctly. Any lower and it doesn't kick, my battery discharge rate could've done with being less me thinks. I myself prefer it that way tbh. Works well for me, I have it set at 21.2v for 6s and cells are bang on 3.7v when they come off every-time. I've only encountered a dramatic difference if I've taken the cells below 3.4v resting voltage. If an esc had a 3.5v individual cutoff option that would be fine too but the Hobbywings only have 3.6 & 3.4 no in-between so it's either too early or way too late. I will try out an alarm at some point to see how reliable they are.

  27. Quite normal for the steering links, designed to be a "servo saver"

  28. I have mine on the max 6 set to default but I use a lipo alarm which I set to 3.5v and plug it into one of the balance leads as a safe gaurd .. I do thus on all my rcs to be honest and there only a few quid so well worth the investment

  35. A rather nice four year old Transit Connect, 2012 model, 47k, mint condition. I couldn't be happier with it. It has racking and a vice in the back. A ladder rack on the roof, and also a conduit/trunking tube on the roof. And also a 240 Volt, 350 Watt inverter in back. Sorted!

  38. Discontinued model. It is based on some other, generic Chinese made rig, so spares may be available that way. Much as it pains me to say it, the FTX is probably better.....
