  10. I know, I was just saying, most of the Hummer models look toy grade and very childish IMO, even large scales. This actually looks like it should and it needs to be used!

  14. I've took my V2 Dom pipe off and back on again 3 times and used this gasket sealant on top of the used existing gaskets and it gives a perfect seal again like new every time (that's so long as your existing gaskets aren't ripped or torn) I recommended it to Ant (Almighty15) too and he's been pleased with the results too Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

  29. Tuning my carb yesterday when I maxed out the TTO on bull dogs I put trenches on and clearly revved nowhere near 19k, a lot bigger diameter tyres. Now working out the revs with the bull dogs on when that topped the TTO out at 19999 came back at 20500, I tweaked the carp with trenches on and gained 1200revs now if that translated into the same gain if I'd have switch back to bull dogs that would mean 21700 revs out of a 30.5 now that's revs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  32. Went track after work, even though i had nothing with me to run, but did get to help finish an SWorkz S350 evo 2 and got the first tank through the engine. Was surprised by a young lad who'd turned up just to look and was at the wheel of another of the SWorkz that were here. He had only driven 1/16 toy stuff before, but going straight to 1/8 nitro race buggies wasn't a problem, he picked it up instantly he even started trying throttle and brake min air on one of the smaller jumps. Then i got to drive an eight T with just a .21 alpha engine. Then a couple of laps of footage of him driving it. https://vimeo.com/132032888 What you guys reckon of the current track layout?

  37. Done quite a bit on this recently. The proline roof racks have been fitted, a light bar mounted to the racks and it's had a good few runs out now. Apart from an ESC giving up on me (which Modelsport happily replaced, thanks guys!!) I'm well pleased with it. Such a pleasure to drive! A few photos of before and after a a quick video aswell! The winch seems to be holding out but it doesn't have much grunt to it, apart from that I love it! Cheers, Steven

  39. Nerf bars are finished now, wohooooo. I still need toof the car a bit and im considering some kind of very basic diffuser for the rear sort some kind of solution to pad the nose cone out a bit and some kind of basic diffuser for the rear, but at least i feel like I'm starting to win with this project now Oh and then there is some wiring to tackle but nothing too major. As normal painting the body is always nail biting so im hoping my new idea looks good lol

  40. Here's my vintage frog I jus aquired ..to think this was top spec in 1984!!..This will go nicely with my striker.... it came with a newer green shell but with the repro stickers...not quite the same effect imo

  41. Lmao, was just going to reply I remember painting one of those driver figures...... Such basic rc's but so much nostalgia and fun.... The cv boots came as stock on the brat and frog, kept carp out when running. Yeah deffo do a full resto like the striker....it will be a great addition to the collection

  42. Recently picked up one of the Tamiya Blitzer Beetle re-re kits. By today's standards not exactly sophisticated but that part of it's charm. Simple it may be but it has that old school look that I like. It will be pretty well stock except for the tyres and white Blitzer wheels and alloy shocks. It's going to be painted a suitable retro colour, Fjord Blue. John

  43. i do agree with certain things like 1-1 cars, but for plastic models do i want a original for
    1 point
  44. Have you seen some of the prices being asked for untouched genuine vintage kits? Yes the re-re kits have a place even if they aren't "genuine" vintage. Just as I'd really like an original 427 Cobra a kit car is the closest I'd ever realistically be able to afford. John

  45. it could be argued, the design and format is the same... much like the laziest car manufacturer....porsche. but because were all nice, re-re is welcomed at the house of vintage.....
    1 point
  46. It isn't, yet the re-re falls into a big, gray area of acceptability where it is welcomed and cossetted much like its older siblings.
