  4. Just had a test drive.... Jesus bloody christ it's fast!!! Vid to come when it's uploaded. No grip. Couldn't get full throttle down for more than a second. Although it is raining on semi slick tyres it's quick. Much quicker than the nitro!

  11. Well my boys Mad Bull is pretty standard, will be replacing the msc with a new esc this weekend and he'll be getting some 2.4ghz radio gear at the same time. Aside from an RC bearings kit that's all that has been done. This is my little girls one. It started as a Fighter Buggy but has Bush Devil wheels and tyres and a Mad Bull shell. It has had Mad Bull front and rear shocks fitted since the pic too and another RC bearings kit. All that's left for this one is some Barbie pink paint on the shell (she's five and loves pink so I couldn't say no!) No pics of mine yet as it is still in the box but parts I have already bought are yet another RC bearings kit, Absima front and rear shocks, Wild Willy (I think) chrome wheels and a Fighter Buggy RX body shell as I really like those, a sport tuned motor and steel pinion gear, Tamiya esc and some 2.4ghz radio gear. Just need a steering rod as I used my new one in my little girls car. I'll pop some pics up when I start it ;-)

  12. "Truck of the Year"... It's only May. The truck is listed on that website as 'pre-order' and they have no proper reviews, and the only things I have seen are Horizon released previews. It may or may not be a great truck, but in my book, you don;t call something 'the best' until you have actually run it long enough to see what breaks! That serpent is more truggy than truck....but it's a sexy looking beast Me want one

  24. Mine arrived about an hour ago. As you would expect, its a good bit smaller and lighter than my Baja ss or the Maverick XB, Seems to be well put together, excellent tool and spares kit. The one thing I don't like is that, as with all Savages there is a good bit of the under gear exposed to dirt. In this case the brake disks in particular are completely exposed. Before I run it I'm going to make up an under tray to protect this area. Not sure yet what I'm going to use but it will either be aluminium, or I'll printed in plastic with my 3d printer. Harvey

  25. Thanks for all your help, it makes alot of sense now. when he tests the steering it is stationary and he reversed steering so "left" went "left" but as you have explained it needs to be the other way round otherwise it will seem reversed when driving. Cheers all

  34. X-ray are in the process of a new upgrade for their 2014 car, Active rear suspension. I'm not sure on it though. There are limits to what works and what sounds like a gimmick. In the right conditions maybe it's of help - but for the majority of club racers I doubt it will help that much. Go to bigger events though and I suspect it will help if you're looking for tenths of a second per lap....

  36. Well..... 1/10th off road doesn't really have a 540 class anymore. Brushless technology means there isn't much cost difference between full on modified class and 'stock' so generally we all run 'modified' motors. Modern tech has really improved the cars The latest 2wd cars are mid motors unlike the rear motor RC10 you had. You can get the RC10's latest descendant the B5M but there are plenty of other good cars. Personally I run a Durango 210 which I'll mention more on later. I think the best all rounder is the Kyosho RB6 Brushless motors don't need looking after much, and have given us all more power than we need. A good race setup is something like a 7.5t motor and a sensored speed controller. There are loads to choose from but this Speed Passion bundle is typical. Radios: 2.4ghz tech means no glitching, no crystals and no hassle. You can get cheap sets for as little as

  39. if someone asks you whilst they are standing next to you, not facing you, continue driving..slowly turn your head towards the offender with your eyes squinted and very slowly say "i killed someone once" ..problem solved ..how you deal with the next obstacle however, that being the police..is down to you.
