  1. A polite no works for me, kids,teens,adults... I only get annoyed when parents let their kids try and run along with the cars or even worse, stand in front with their legs apart! I simply point out that 17kg of 7s Baja WILL kill their child, and, having pointed this out, it is now their responsibility to keep their kids safe. Works every time!

  2. I get asked all the time by the kids in my village, it has been an ongoing joke that I have better toys that half of the kids. Usually they just watch me and my the year old son Jake drive them. I decided to do something about it I built four different rigs for my sons school mates to use when I went in one afternoon when they were learning about electricity and circuits. A Lunchbox for wheelie fun, a drift TT01, a TL01 and a Wraith crawler. The Lunchie was the only quick one, the TT01 drifted beautifully on the super smooth playground, the TL01 they rallied around a course we brushed out between the trees, and the Wraith they crawled around an obstacle course we made. They all loved it, so much so that I have to do it again this summer.

  3. My dx4s came with 2 receivers the sr410 and a srs4210 I've been trying to set it up with the srs4210 that's the one with avc traction control and stability giro built in but after looking in the instruction manual when avc is activated the aux channels are not active only the steering and throttle are active So I've put the sr410 in and the status led on the kill switch was flashing as it should but I had to turn the avc off in the menu I changed the state too inh and I've now got control over the kill switch Thanks for all your help looks like that avc is not worth the hassle I'm sure the brca will ban it any way

  7. I have added some of the links so far to the front page. we could do with: - definitive settings for break in - guide to break in - manuals links (going to check for those now) - more hopups. Nice to see the thread so active! If you want or can think of some changes to the first post let me know. I am happy to act as "curator" to keep it up to date.

  9. From your video it appears to be yes. The handheld transmitter causing the issue. With the steering servo plugged in, on the video the centre point it returns to when plugged into the throttle appears to change slightly from where is starts from what I can see. Maybe you can see it better yourself?

  20. Right well you are going to have to stretch your budget further and get a decent 1cell ESC i recently got the reventon 1.1ex supports both 1 and 2 cell (as i will be racing touring again soon) and has been brilliant thus far. The Core RC ESC will be fine if you get a different servo. other options include hobbywing and Gforce however these are limited to 1 cell only, so if you ever wanted to use it for 2 cell applications like touring, you cant. Motor wise the hpi flux 13.5t goes well in a fixed axle drive car like the supastox, and its

  22. No... Neice is 3 and just loves the look of the cars..likes to touch or hand push them across the floor.Hasn't established they have electrics/engines under the shell to know they actually run So i just give her a basher she can carry around, push on the floor and chuck around ...This is the early stages - In a few years i'm expecting her to be an RC addict..don't worry lads i'm working on it

  23. No. End of. Had kids as young as four asking, they're not going to understand the costs and risks involved. A grands worth of car, danger to others etc. I'm just not interested. My toys, my rules. Even had a half cut adult ask for a go, I wouldn't let him drive one sober, so it ain't gonna happen under the influence!

  33. So I did it... I killed my Camaro doing a huge burnout... snapped the prop shaft and possibly took the gearbox with it. This meant we had to rent a car... which was just as fun I cant be bothered to write much but here are the photos:
