  3. Hes a nice enough guy and I think you should get in contact before you question his word as it may be a simple mistake made as he has not got the car anymore and just forgot. A chill pill is in order. If I got like that everytime I lent something and forgot I would be mad all the time as most people would forget if they didnt get a reminder

  8. i am only selling to help fund a prosthetic leg for my dad which the NHS will not cover. i will start by saying that yes the price is high however this car is worth every single penny and a lot more. it has had every single upgraded fitted and more to make it the ultimate 1/5. this is specifically cash on collection as i want the new owner to see the car and know exactly what they are getting, it truly is an amazing piece of kit. The engine was built by OBR and is based around a billet syndicate bottom end, not only is it rated at over 7.5HP but it has also been specifically tuned to give a huge increase in torque. This losi is truly RTR (aside from a controller) it has been used and the chassis etc is scratched however it has been maintained regardless of the cost, it has just had a bearing rebuild and all the diffs have been serviced nothing on the car is broken or bodged it is ready for a full summers bashing. the engine is tuned perfectly none of this needs attention stuff it is spot on and was reringed less than 5 tanks ago so the compression is immense. The tyres have been used for 3 tanks and that is it, the same goes for the modified center diff, the rok armour brace, the QR fuel lines and linkage etc, a lot of the upgrades are nearly new. I have run the car this evening and it is running perfectly and is one of the quickest losi's i have ever seen. I have also fitted bartolone cage panels and a hemistorm penta body shell which not only looks great but stops almost all rubbish and mud getting into the car. as mentioned no controller is included as at this price point i would assume that you will have your own however if needed a nearly new spektrum DX4S (not 3S) can be included for an additional

  10. My first aerial shot. been a while, but in that time i have been working on my camera platforms. this is my mini cam, is a 720x420p @30fps it has a 0.67x wide angle lens fitted it also is able to use a 180 fish eye lens, this is a single shot i gleaned from the file. image is east facing towards Norwich at around 40ft up. had to do some filtering to remove the time/date stamp. yup i know its carp, but its a start just need to save for gopro and DSLR mounting frame.

  18. Blooming hell , where's Evo been doing the port work on your new engine, on Mars by any chance as it seems your new engine has been in progress forever, dunno why this is underscored, I cannot turn it off, either this site is wonky at the moment or ie10 that I downloaded the other day is having a bad moment

  19. I love the male (I'm the same naturally) I know this and don't need instructions dismantling of trucks - cleaning, oiling, diff refill, etc. - where there are same diameter screws, but some are longer than others - really gets me if they've rolled out of place and I mix them. I know, should get a magnetic pit mat!! Hate the 'extra screws' thing - t-shirt on that one!! Al.

  20. Start from stock settings and work your way one setting at a time Camber changes the contact patch and dependind on surface can have a pretty big effect on handling. It's not just for looks. On hard surface start with 0 camber on all wheels - or if you use angle cut tires, set the camber to match tire angle Also rear suspension should be softened if your rear oversteers It's very easy to make a car uncontrollable, been there, done that several times

  21. What are/did you gonna order battery wise? Just being nosey... The only draw back of bullets is its easy to plug the battery into its self. Believe me you only do this once though.

  23. agreed, i've had a lot of contact with ting, done quite a few deals as well and he has always been true to his word, people make mistakes, but dragging someones name through the mud without giving them a chance to have their say is pretty damn disgusting

  25. When I was younger, I always enjoyed the challenge of trying to anticipate the traffic, and balance the throttle, so that I could smoothly get past people, cut in soonest so as not to baulk 'faster traffic', and keep the speed variation within 2mph - not easy. Nowadays, I have cruise fitted to the Civic, and set it at 75. REALLY annoys me when I'm obviously faster than someone, come up on them, outside lane is clear, but with 'faster traffic' distant but moving in. I indicate, move out, pull to alongside, and the bugger speeds up. I've no intention of breaking the limit even more, so hold a little, but that baulks the traffic behind, so I have to pull in again. Love it when the same erratic pain last-second indicates to try and pull out, only to realise I'm alongside, and gets stuck!! Roundabouts - great stuff. Really annoys me to wait for someone indicating right, thus I need to wait, then pulls into 'my road', wasting my time and fuel. Roundabouts - multi-traffic light big jobbies - hate dawdlers making me miss a lights, and have to wait. Roundabouts - whilst on them - people thinking I'm telepathic and KNOW they're really going to continue around without indicating, despite being in the LH lane and I'm in the middle, where it's marked CLEARLY on the road inside and middle to turn left at next exit, nearly causing me an accident. Rant over - for now!! Al.

  30. Surprised people have had so much trouble with the steering knuckles. What are you doing, 50ft jumps to flat concrete? When I first got my Truggy I did replace both sets of knuckles due to a stripped thread, however since replacing them and using an obscene amount of the deadly, HPI Pro Threadlock, I haven't touched them since. That's going back over 5 months of heavy use now too! Even with me launching it off a ramp 50+ odd times lol. Honestly, if you want a Truggy that doesn't lose screws all the time.. Just go mental with threadlock! It's worked wonders for me!

  39. Racing means your stuck to the perimiter of a track where as bashing can be done anywhere with the addition of a couple of cheap plastic skate ramps. The same sort of debate has been going on in BMX between street riders & racers for an age. I like the idea of both though. That video proves to me that there is more to bashing than just thrashing around a field though, pretty cool stunt that must have took skills.
