  1. I have one of these for an 8S Baja conversion I am working on. I ordered directly from Chris at SkyRC. Cost me 150USD for the ESC and controller card with Fedex shipping. No customs either. I am waiting for my HV UBEC but unboxing it the build quality is FANTASTIC! 8mm bullets throughout, plastic shielding round caps and wire exits, nice low profile dual fans. Even has a dedicated programming port so no need to unplus from receiver to reprogram in the field. I have a Mamba XL2 in my Maverick Vader XB and build quality of the Toro is on a par with it. Will report more when I get it wired up...

  3. Sadly barely any of the dremel rip offs are actually any good, Investing in a proper Dremel is definitely worth it. Buy cheap, buy twice!

  5. Think you can get a seal conversion kit for the speed fit but you may be best either getting a plumber to come and sort the pipes Or get a conex fitting 19 to 22 then convert the 22 to 15

  6. Stop, you are perfectly fine with the setup you have there. There are far too many people giving you duff information. The XT50 & XT80 connectors use bullets inside anyway ( so do EC5 connectors ), so people that keep saying you should just buy bullets need to be quiet and stop talking nonsense. Deans and XT50 plugs are rated for 65amps continuous, which is far more than you will be pulling continuously so there is absolutely no issue- otherwise we'd be seeing threads about melted deans far more often, rather than once in a blue moon. Plain bullet connectors are only any good if you use glue lined heatshrink to stop it from sliding down the connector once in place- hence why I swapped from 5.5mm bullets to EC5 connectors; you get a much better grip and don't need any heastshink with EC5s....

  11. Great news 'bout the wedding Ting! Does that mean you have to send back the 7D and fancy lenses you 'needed' for the wedding? lol Those two of your boy are pretty good. The colours if the bench are really vivid, i might say crop the top row of bricks but that's just me! I like cropping! Second one could do with straightening. It's the first thing I do to mine - even if I'm not doing anything else. Peek-a-boo games are good for getting the little ones in a more natural pose - out from behind a tree etc. You just have to be quick!

  12. My two pence on soldering. Keeping the iron tip clean and tinned is important for heat transfer, so you will need a soldering sponge. Use a good quality 60/40 rosin core solder, and electrical specific flux. Always clean, coat with flux and tin any connections you are making. Flux helps the solder to flow to create a solid clean joint. If you tin enough you won't need to add any solder to the joint, just heat the two connections until the solder liquefies, remove iron, keep joint steady and allow to cool. Generally irons operate at the same temperature. So a 100w iron won't be hotter than a 50w but the 100w will stay hotter for longer when soldering big gauge wires. I use a butane iron, solderpro70 and its great. Got a few different tips so I can do anything from solder wires onto a PCB to 8gauge no problem. Once you learn to keep your tip clean and freshly tinned in between touching joints it will be a breeze

Petrol's are welcome! there is always the back field if there is stuff on the main field. it's about 20 seconds from parking and has trees/bush all the way round to help keep the noise from traveling too far. jovisd79. feel free to pop down to a bash and see what we got and what may interest you before you take the plunge and buy your RC! there is nitro and electric(Lunchbox) at the bash and soon some petrol RC's If you want some advise on choosing something to suit your needs let me know !!!

  16. 4 across the top and 5 across the bottom - all landscape. And again all at my minimum focal length. Although tipping the camera to portrait does also work well. Might be overlapping a bit too much at the moment - but I'd rather that, than have gaps or areas where they don't join.. here's one single image again... (bottom row - 4th of the 5 going from R to L)
