Actually there is a lad runs a Maverick buggy at Bury in between rounds (he isn't actually racing it yet) and I've been very impressed. OK, so its not a patch on my D4 but then the whole car barely costs more than my servo so what do you expect? It looks cheap, but its very robust, drives well and handles the Losi 6.5t brushless system its just had fitted very well. It is a bit dumpy looking as a buggy, but under a Short Course shell you can't see that.

Put it this way - I expect it will be at least as good as the 4x4 Slash Traxxas have just announced, but cost far less. If it was available as a kit I'd actually be tempted - being 4wd I reckon it could take on the SC10's and win.

hmm.. I honestly think youve just been extremely lucky!!!:o

Ive had several chassis, some maverick, some clone..

And they were all weak as hell!

In particular, just behind the front diff, the bottom chassis has a tendancy to snap, even under moderate collisions..

Ive also snapped one by the spur gear in front of the rear diff...

Also, they wont hold up to a traxxas for robustness in any definition of the word.. not at all..

This i can say with 100% certainty...

For a start, theres a bucketload of slop on the axle carriers witch leads to a multitude of problems like prematurely worn or popped dogbones...

the top plate may as well be made of cheese!! The main chassis is very flexable so it bends like rubber under most impacts, thus, warping the top plate..

the list goes on...

As for performance, it is a decent, well performing chassis, but build quality and robustness of a choclate Teapot.rofl

i have a strada xb it can take the power better than all my mates buggys (durga, df-03, master smacker) i run a ezrun 8.5t on 3 cell lipo, i have hopped it up a bit. i have owned it for just over a year now and i take it out almost every weekend and go through 10-15 batterys on a day out. i do huge jumps and generally give it lots of abuse. the grand total for repairs over the whole time is about
