  1. Been looking, what you think, will it be ok for it, I have charger with li-ion in it. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/overlander-2200-mah-7-4v-li-ion-battery-pack-tamiya/rc-car-products/442631
  2. Haven't been here for a long time, probably few years, can see alot has changed. Was clearing out and saw my maverick scout and thought I play with it, charge it up and loss power after few mins, needs a new battery. I have made a few mods on this scout and I am having trouble finding this battery (cannot remember what type it is but I remembered that I solder tamiya connection), its nimh, size is L=95, W=33, H=17. I m not going to the lipo route as this speedo don't have LVC and the risk of charging, discharging(I m about of old skool and just want plunge n play), I have heard of LiFe or similar which is far safer, if there is 8.4v nimh hump pack I ll be happy, any suggestion of battery alternatives welcome,
  3. Keep up the good work, I like it when we don't have to spend much will be doing the same mod, thanks for sharing and hope u got more mods coming
  4. Thanks for repling Have u managed to try without springs yet. Notice the front suspension never fully compressed compared to the back suspension while climbing, maybe softer springs will help?
  5. Been looking at various AX10 scorpion which is nearly the same as the scout which I ve got, notice some pictures and videos of heavy modded AX10 suspensions don't have springs, just the dampers. What's the pro/cons? Only thin I can think is LOC and better crawling.
  6. Thanks for the tips I have done a few free mods to it, decided I will leave as it is as I like the scale look, I have bought maverick scout which I am happy. Very soon I would need to sell off some of my rc collection as need the space
  7. Had the honcho for 3 years, been on the shelf for a while and watching (haven't used RC for a long while but back now) youtube and it's got me hooked. Heard about bracket to lift front bumper higher and back, where can i find it as it looks awful and always catching Is there better tyres, would like a bigger tyres and better traction to climb, would like to keep wheels to save cost. Forgot to add, it's the kit version with mamba max and 27t, already added high torque servo Any tips or recommantations bearing in mind I don't want to spend too much
  8. Ey up Got a new HPI Blitz recently, I want to upgrade the stock electrics for brushless and lipo, I have 7.4v 35c 4000mah lipo but need to buy some more. Which brushless system would you recommand for it, I like good speed and reliable, think I would like to stick with 7.4v lipo as it's cheaper and lighter. One more thing, does it matter if I get the hardcase batteries or not, can you link the ones you recommand, was thinking of the 5000mah range I still have the castle mamba 5700 motor (approx 4 years old), is it a good motor and can I use it or is there much better and cheaper motor out there. I am aware of AJ s' blitz and it is impressive, to AJ, would you recommand your system, is there any heat issue. What set up would you recommand Is there any uprade that is a must for the Blitz
  9. As for all your outdrives problems, there is a way, heat treatment to harden the steel, most reported a big reduction in wear, almost no wear at all I remember my time in college where I did a welding course as part of my other course and they showed us how to harden the steel, you can use water as shown or use motor oil
  10. You should watch Elite Squad (Brazil film), really enjoyed that film, heard part two s' coming out now
  11. Sorry to jump in, I had a look around Decathlon superstore recently and saw some mountain bikes, they all seems to be very good prices, was told that all bike frames carries 5 year warrenty and 2 years warrenty on components, I did look for reviews and they all were surprising good for the money. Is Decathlon bikes any good?
  12. To creamsodauk, I wouldn't bother going to the gym as it's expensive nowadays, cycling is a good way, I did a bit of a challenge, I tried some of the navy SEAL workouts on youtube and it was brutal but I notice a good changes in my body, it's free, simple, I m gonna try and keep it up in the long run Like you, I did eat a large easter egg and chocolates, put on a few pounds but I know it will burn it off easily ready for the summer, most important is to enjoy life
  13. I can relate to this, bear in mind I m 6 ft 4 or 5 9 months ago I was 24 stone 9 pounds and now I m 17 stone, lost a little over 7.5 stones, I did the Dukan diet and it works, there is no calorie counting which is a good thing for me and it makes me loose weight, now I feel much better, the main thing is I now can buy clothes from any shops (from XXXL or XXXL to XXl or XL) whereas berfore I can't, I recently went to Thorpe park and I m shocked that I fit in on all ride apart from one. To creamsodauk, I understand what you are saying, your strategys' good but I think in the long term your more likely to give up or give in, when I was on the dukan diet I rarely felt hungry and it makes me motivated to continue to reach my target weight, I only did 30mins walk a day
  14. Probably too many faulty returns which gave them alot of hassle, that's my guess
  15. To Goldblades7, I am very interest in seeing pics of your mt2 CVDs, keep up the good work, I can see the next weakest part of your setup is the slipper clutch and centre dogbones, I believe centre diff will solve that. I have been looking for centre diff for the bullet and I ve found that a part from hotbodies seems to fit http://www.hpiracing.co.uk/piw.php?partNo=66654 and ebay for whole diff kit http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HPI-BULLET-3-0-MT-ST-FRONT-REAR-COMPLETE-DIFF-SET-/130508650146?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item1e62ebf6a2 Someone at other forum who has the GT10 and fitted the centre diff, he has no more drivetrain problems after this
  16. They could have made 4wd blitz, just fit sc wheels and tyres with sc body on the bullet, maybe change the chassis to plastic
  17. Put the bodyshell as low as possible and cut off the exessive body post, this is what I did and it's been fine since Another option is to boil your bodypost in hot water to make it flexiable Which body is yours, the ST or MT, I got the ST
  18. How you getting on, I had the same problem as yours I think that this ESC don't like the radio, something to do with dead band, what radio have you got
  19. Nice, think I ll wait and see if they bring the blitz brushless out
  20. nice, just wondering, where do u get all spares for it
  21. Nice, more bullet owners here, can anyone make an alloy shock towers, can't be too hard, I could do that if I had proper tools HPI should start making nice upgrades for it soon
  22. I was hoping for a rep from HPI to answer this, isn't that the point of this particular section of the forum
  23. I have a huge rc car magazines (about 100) and I did post for sale section a while back, if pm me if you still interested and want a photos, only problem is you ll have to pick it up
