Dan:E Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 My name is danny and im 23 from bolton, Finally got my hands on the same remote control car i had as a kid: Tamiya Ford Escort RS Cosworth Cant wait for it to arrive to let the building commence! dont know of i have paid over the odds for it as i havent had a remote controlled car since i was a kid. Keep new and buy a runner you can get a used lot ready to run for 60ish,of course not mint but if you want a runner then get one mate? kwik-kid Posted May 21, 2009 Share Posted May 21, 2009 what was originally used with them? i remember when i got the one when i was a kid it came with controller and servos and stuff but cant remember what make it all was! was like 10 years ago or summot ha! it would of been a manual speed controller ( i have a mardave one) and its basicly not as good lol not sure about the servos or if the manual speed controllers vary... You bought it to have fun and build it like what your dad did when you were a kid... you'll get alot more pleasure from it actually using it then watching the dust gather on it on your shelf ,only to sell it for a little profit in the future... get it ,build it, enjoy it,i say!
