  12. when i take my border collies with me down the park with the st1 i tie a tennis ball to the back easy dog walkin they will chase it all day long. had a few probs with old farts either ignor them or just walk away they the ones that end up more angry ranting to them selfs it not worth the hassle
  13. modelzone is a hobby shop and do everythin from collectables onwards do sell nitro and leccy they deal with thunder tiger and tamiya cars are ready available but parts wanted are usually ordered in
  14. hows it goin if you lookin for a nitro theres a traxxas tmax on modelsport for 320 i know slightly outta you price range but would br worth it with plenty of upgrades to be done there also is a traxxas jato for 295 just in your price range again another good car, the revo new is well outta your price range unless you could streach a bit further. have you considered thunder tiger mta4 or st1 or the tomohawk these cars are hard as nails and go like the clappers check them out they all in your price range and are good solid cars. theres also the hobao hyper st great car loads of upgrades again slightly outta you price range but you get what you pay for with these things hope you make the right choice paul

    My first shell

looks good bud for a first time spray, shame about the split but as tim said there will be plenty more marks etc on there before you know it
  16. to cut either go out and buy the right tools to do so or get a good sharp craft knife when doing the wheel arches score the arch and then cut from the score to the out side like a sun beam once thes are cut carefuly score the arch a litlle more and bend each section and cut off 1 by 1 once all peices are off trim to make smooth use the same method for the engine hole. As said make sure you give it a good wash remove all grease and dust etc then use none lint gloves to handle to prevent putting more greasy finger prints onto the shell. and dry the shell out i use a hairdryer to do this. then you ready for masking it up mask your windows make sure no air bubbles etc then go on to the rest of the desgin if your using spray cans get a bucket and put some warm water in it not to hot this will be to pace to spray tins into as warm paint is less likely to spit than cold paint and will also give you a more even spray. when spraying be sure to give more thin coats rather than 1 thick one as this helps with flexability and prevents cracking of the paint let the paint dry between each coat once all is painted post it up here so we can see the finnished product good luck take your time the longer you take the better finnish youll get
  17. as said above but make sure you use a real soft cloth to do so or youll end up scratching the surface of the shell post up a pic of the shell when repainted
  18. hope it works for you post up let us know how you get on budgood luck
  19. just got the vid workin on my other puter right sounds like its constant spinning to me and it does this with both servos you say im baffled lol has your mate a car you can borrow a servo off to test or have him test yours on your servo arm has the the bit that goes onto the servo check it hasnt rounded off.
  20. the top of the ariel would cause a prob but usually with range a new ariel is a must, are you holdin the car off the ground when testing? as for the inside of a servo the shafts are only there to hold the gears in place if there was a prob with them youll prob find there would be no movement from the servo at all apart from a noise from the inner like a constant spinning
  21. if your concerned about it but want to use it make a temp gasket for it but dont bash to hard if you know what i mean. if the gasket has gone even though it doesnt draw air through that area it will if there is a leak due to it being right next to the piston it will draw air from all available areas causing it to go to lean
  22. spot on write up acksaw+1, i personaly find it easier to just return to factory and retune as tuning from current tune can cause a pain to tune not always but from factory settings you know your gonna get your tune just right.
  23. i know it sounds daft but we over look the simple things have you checked the steering trim on controller
  24. tbh bud id go for either the hyper or the hong nor both great cars and a wide range of spares about but as for the kyosho still a great car but not as many spares around bein the only reason id go for the hong nor or hyper if this is your first niro remember all the extraas youll need to get car running glowplug chargers (needed) fuel (needed) aro (advised) hump pack batts and charger(advised) fail safe (needed) stop thse runaways. tools for maintainance. im sure youll make the right choice of car bud either way there is plenty of help on the forum
