martin
My first car was back in 94 which was a 950cc fiesta popular plus mk2 with an xr2 body kit, it was pretty cool looking just like an xr2 which was all the rage back then but without the performance. The insurance thse days for young drivers is really cruel a pay about
Mr Terminator
signs of a mid life crisis lol rofl I think you may be right Steve I've been after a Boom Trike with 2.0l Zetec for ages and they carry 2 passengers. Its getting harder for me to handle the big ZZR 1200 and the GPZ 1100 without being in a fair amount of pain after riding so seems like a good compromise and the wifes ok with it..... martin
Speaking of trikes my brothers got a moto cross trike with a cr 250 engine in, i've been on it once, only got it in 3rd gear and scared the living daylights out of me, its just so powerful as soon as the powerband kicks in its up in the air, the bloke who had it before him used to do championship racing on beaches abroad etc and got clocked doing 120mph on a beach, he must be one crazy bloke to do that, its a right handful the next day after i had been on it my whole arms where aching from trying to tame the beast lol. marty

reefshark
Vauxhall Corsa's are Dirt Cheap to Run, and for a 1L version = Group 1 1.2l = Group 2 Chruchill as well is proving to be cheap for new people Ziggy i think the 1l and 1.2 corsas are 3 cyl ive got a 1275 mini cooper as my first car which is insurance group 6 but going to be getting a 1.8 focus zetec soon which is the same insurance group as my mini weird
wiseman405
I should be getting a Lupo 1.4 tdi 75bhp, and i shall probably treat it to a re-map to just over 100 bhp well thats what i want, but who knows!
Hpi_matrix_stock
25bhp out of a re-map! Wouldnt the SJ suffer from the new tax hikes on 4x4's? Id love to get a fiat panda 4x4 to muck about in, some of the youtube vids make them look great.
Mr Terminator
4x4 Pandas are classic little motors and I think they rock,my mate had one and it was great fun...

There was a Manta a couple of streets away from where I lived - mid 80's, I was 15/16 ish. I so wanted that car!! It was white, with a boot, not the hatchback version - twin round headlights. If i remember right I think it was a GSi like this one: Car just looks 'right' - I still want one.
antnee
i think the 1l and 1.2 corsas are 3 cyl The 1.0L 12V are 3 cylinders but sound good, the 1.2L are normal 4cylinder 16V 25bhp out of a re-map! Yes, its a turbo diesel, you can get more, ones from the Skoda dealer are claimed to give about 30HP and thats a plug in box! Cant find it now but theres a vid on youtube of a little 4x4 doing a jump in some woods, it must have been about 20-30ft in the air!, it landed and drove off
antnee
Remapping your ECU (Engine Control Unit) produces some very impressive BHP gains. We overwrite the manufacturers original engine control program (map) with an optimized program, this is called remapping (superchipping). The largest horse power gains are achieved with turbo petrol & turbo diesel vehicles around 35% increase of BHP & 45% increase of toque. For example an Audi S4 1.8T has 158 BHP standard, remapping takes this up to 220 BHP. But even non turbo engines give impressive results. From a company in nottingham offering re-mapping so for 75hp stock, 35% increase give 101.25hp

I had a GTE that was exactly the same and Polar white too,the GSi was the slightly later model but the same car.The Exclusive was the only hatch I had in the 4 I owned, the 400 rep started life as a 1.8 GTJ and I changed all the running gear to GTE spec then uprated it with 4 pot Willwoods and Brembo discs,it took an age to find a decent Monza donor and I eventually got one out of the Loot for
