  1. I must admit, Kevin's channel got me to get back into offroad bashing again. I don't go anywhere near as hard as he does though, can't afford the parts
  2. Looks like my club in Utrecht Netherlands (Raco2000) will be opening tomorrow, although, with restrictions on social distancing. Still, I am super chuffed Can't wait to play again at the track.
  3. I recently put together a maverick strada with an old roller from another member here and some electronics I had laying around for my daughter who recently became interested in RC. Of course, first time out at the park, she ran it into a pole and the bodyshell shattered (it's clearly fairly old, so, expected. She is after a new bodyshell, of course, on limited budget, so, was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on sizing, as the truck seems quite small for a 1:10. Cheers nutnuts
  4. This part of the forum is for feedback on members who have sold/bought something from you, not for complaining about other forums/brands. MAybe this would be better placed in another area of the forum. I've never dealt with the rc4wd brand or forum, so, I cannot comment on this.
  5. Yep, I see them clearly, it looks like heat damage.
  6. I picked up a set of M3 screws and washers of different sizes to keep handy in case of losing/stripping one. It's great to ensure I always have some.
  7. If you don't have to fit the plugs yourself they are good, in fact, if you didn't have to simply click the bullets into the plugs, they are good. It's the plastic plug, they are hellish. So, I think you made the right choice.
  8. I must admit, his style is sometimes a little grating, but, overall, he does the most engaging videos in the RC world, so, props to him. As for him selling his ebay tips, I see nothing wrong with this if it's honest. I can see what others have said about this though, as there are a lot of people selling similar products that are effectively scams. Again, I have not bought his stuff so cannot comment, I am sure it's fine. I tend to skip the part in his vids where he talks about it and get to the bashing. Cheers @Kevin Talbot for the entertaining content. nut
  9. You can send them, just not by airmail. Also, you should tell the courier.
  10. I am an idiot, of course, you put the females on the batteries, not the males..... 🤪
  11. So, pop some heat shrink on when you store them/don't use them? Sounds like it'd work Deans are awful aren't they, just diabolical things, XT90s do look nice, but, I am thinking bullets would be future proof, also, it would make it much less hassle for charging etc.
  12. Did someone say something about XC90s? Maybe I should look at those. Or, has anyone tried bullets before? In all seriousness, with bullets, what is the best way to keep them separated when sitting idle? surely they could short (on batteries with fixed cables of course, not on the ones with detachable cables).
  13. So, EC5 plugs are better than deans, that makes sense as the contact points are tighter and there is more contact surface area than a deans, but, why are they so hard to clip together once you have soldered the contacts? I have to literally hammer them in to the plug to get them to clip. Am I doing something wrong?
  14. replaced a plug on an old ESC and motor combo for testing for a setup for my daughter, who has unexpectedly become interested in RC. Got it working, all is looking good, just need the roller now. Hopefully going to secure one of a nice guy here, let's see if she likes it.
  15. You will probably want to go lipo for batteries pretty quickly, even with brushed they have a much better run time, they are lighter etc, but, they can be volatile if not charged/discharged/stored correctly. Read up about that in the forum, it's a literal minefield. As for chargers for this, you will need something that is capable of charging Lipo's as well as NiMH batteries, so, best to buy this to start so you are not replacing a cheap charger after a few months.
  16. I'll take one if you can send to Netherlands Definitely, even willing to pay a little extra for postage if required.
  17. Servo is useful, I have the other electrics laying around so should be good.
  18. I'm good with that, full disclosure though, I'm in Netherlands, so, the postage might be a little more than UK postage. Let me check with the daughter first of all. But if she's good, I'm good. I'd like to see some pics.
  19. I am guessing I am too late for this, if so, that's fine.
  20. How much are you looking for? I want to keep it super cheap. I expect she'll be over the hobby quite quickly, but, want to encourage her
  21. @Andy20xe if you are still selling this, I might be interested, I am thinking about building a cheap basjer for my daughter who seems to have taken to playing with my kraton.
