j321
Any recommendations on the best 4S LiPo battery for Traxxas Maxx (ideally that can be purchased in the UK)? (I have put this on multiple forums/threads as I am not sure where it would be best to place this topic) Thanks

Oh How Original
Best as in money no concern? Or best value? Very good option; https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=437696 if your charger does LiHV. Very good option that isn't LiHV; https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-graphene-6000mah-4s-75c-lipo-pack-w-xt90.html?queryID=572408db97b614c4427a115faa1ae3e8&objectID=78865&indexName=hbk_live_magento_en_us_products More budget friendly options; https://hobbyking.com/en_us/rhino-6000mah-4s-50c-lipo-battery-pack-w-xt60.html?queryID=572408db97b614c4427a115faa1ae3e8&objectID=80887&indexName=hbk_live_magento_en_us_products https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Zeee-4S-14-8V-60C-6000mAh-RC-Lipo-Battery-with-Deans-T-Plug-for-1-8-and-1-10-RC/174529392935?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item28a2c33127:g:W~wAAOSwnA9fup-N&amdata=enc%3AAQAFAAACYBaobrjLl8XobRIiIML1V4Imu%2Fn%2BzU5L90Z278x5ickkSG%2BOFgrj2Yvbvmrj2TAdMyixsNlKAtOhVxuZB6ttU6b%2BrLYNjrzGoV3BT6WsAX3HodiigluJCwM4RYJeXU0NE0Odjp9QfG68muDo27T19h%2BnTMQ%2FplVvFVy5DaWZCQIvQbi1qN2UJw00qBtQHWpDz49GoC5ZEB8Zs1RF3Zff5bkQFTI%2BJEyF%2FRJvi0%2BTLfzuMet30%2FUffmxHuU6q0UvUJpHtYHuS7E5bcPQPF2%2Bm4qNPqBmbPfQKob97ms159qqkezSjR649dh1JDGGu7Ygk1dUMj4zpKsl7%2FCVxoZLGwFHjfzyQRdzEVr1xSeXu6RVKqf3m%2Bhcqfym0BxobWz%2F8%2BxWNWYoAxXpN1jX1msM9z0Zdfq3AeZ%2F8IlWKrkOZB7attq2HeOPC65Tf67Ls6gjeQJS%2FLFGGmZMWNRrQLvgXK741xo2xTCl2I7buJaln9ecKh1gMXhU8Wdna6l9PMIKQ69bM31wGa6f4N0RtT8VHq1Chga%2FSx%2BvJRgxyP3ZS4c2ViukabqGKnDAW6SX555Z0YTG74ywlrcYeMdiPnAHJgY63t6r6jiUjMuxgz4qrCIPLw40Tsb3iL1CewodWoWTwLqHGFZsN8IqPy%2FlWUHLU1Y0Sp4itYquUhwVSKhJvX6wEIJQR%2BbVfbqWQ7KC3mYHlze8VKysIixY%2Bjs0fKrUYNcNZzQfyR1KTnWfmYqsofWtW2IvXKBOpUvHz9F6PRY4NO%2BQqFEff6UGu8TG54H2ucu%2FJHDZCtkAi%2FUYTOPGpyWRY|cksum%3A17452939293507c70e35097246198916de2857e4174d|ampid%3APL_CLK|clp%3A2334524 I bought some from this seller and they arrived next day as well, if you want a twin pack. I've bought a few of these brand and all are balanced perfect and seem fine so far. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Zeee-14-8V-100C-6000mAh-4S-Lipo-Battery-with-EC5-Plug-for-1-8-and-1-10-RC/233784741498?hash=item366ea80e7a:g:s5cAAOSw5ulfs7c8 Just be sure to check your battery tray dimensions against the dimensions of the batteries. j321
Thanks for reply. What battery connector does Traxxas use on the maxx? Is it possible to use non traxxas lipo batteries without having to cut and solder a different connector? Won't this void the warranty? or is it possible to convert just the battery to traxxas connector? If I wanted to use a 4s lipo for Traxxas maxx with xt90 or EC5 etc connector are there any xt90 or EC5 to Traxxas convector converters? j321
So if I don't want to use traxxas lipo batteries I can either... swap/cut solder the connector on the 4s lipo battery of choice (providing it fits) to a Traxxas TRX connector (don't want to swap/cut solder the cable on ECU) https://wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/311455/ (not ID connectors)... ....purchase an adaptor like below although some people say to avoid using them as they can cause heating and power issues? https://www.amazon.co.uk/OliYin-Traxxas-Female-adapter-Supply/dp/B087CJVH22/ref=pd_lpo_421_img_0/259-2493761-3912040?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B087CJVH22&pd_rd_r=af2b4f85-345e-4434-862a-42cdb89cceec&pd_rd_w=7Hmql&pd_rd_wg=SQ1EF&pf_rd_p=7b8e3b03-1439-4489-abd4-4a138cf4eca6&pf_rd_r=K5V16GDPPHN020ER1YBM&psc=1&refRID=K5V16GDPPHN020ER1YBM https://www.overlander.co.uk/catalog/product/view/id/2101/s/xt90-male-traxxas-female/category/483/ or purchase a lipo with a TRX connector already on it as suggested above? 1 hour ago, Rc211v said: I use these ones in my Maxx. I haven't got any Traxxas batteries (or chargers). For my Maxx I use the Overlanders above for 4s and then I've got some cheap Fleureon 3s lipos that have XT60 plugs and I use XT60 to TRX adaptors with those.

OK, Which type of non-soldering adaptors do you use for the XT60 to TRX conversion, the one with a lead or one without similar to below? You've had know heating or power issues using adaptors with the 3s? https://www.amazon.co.uk/OliRC-Traxxas-Female-Connector-Adapter/dp/B08CN3HS3V/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=XT60+to+Traxxas+TRX+Adapter&qid=1607708709&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExQ1E0UUxXVVY1M1JMJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjc3NzI0MzJMQkhHMUY1RTVKMCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjIwNTY4MzdMQ0VTMjI3S0Y3NyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= Thanks

Dazg23
How did you get on with the batteries ? im about to purchase a max but have a spektrum smart charger so didn’t want to have to buy another set up. my charger has ec5/ic5 and ec3/ic3 ports on it. the spektrum batteries are expensive I have 2 at the minute but not sure they would be worth the extra for the max as none of the smart features would be avail?
