Axial have introduced the new SCX10 II Raw Builders kit. The SCX10 II Raw Builders kit allows to custom your rig with electronics, body, tyres and wheels of your choice. In 2008 Axial introduced its first SCX10 as a builder’s kit. With the SCX10 II, Axial kept the essence of the SCX10 and its metal frame rail chassis, but added scale AR44 high pinion axles, a chassis-mounted servo, redesigned transmission, front mounted battery tray, all aluminum suspension links, suspension designed for nearly zero bump steer, and more. Now, with the Raw Builder’s Kit version, you can drive a machine that’s as personal as it is capable!

Some nice features on it, also it’s long overdue, this is the kind of kit that’s been needed for a while.

 

couple of bits I do t like are the new axle casing with the built in truss,  their different from the kit version jeep. So which is the mk1 or mk2? At least they share the rest of the axle parts.

also is that a plastic motor mount? If it is that kinda makes the gearbox weaker than the original with metal motor plate.

 

if I’d not have already wasted money on one, sorry, bought one, then this would have been the one for me I think....

This looks like a kit version of the 'Blazer' RTR, and the transmission housing's plastic but "silver color looks like cast aluminum"

So at least it looks like metal ?

So now there's 3 versions of the SCX10 II - it's getting complicated ?

 

Is there a benefit to the white Jeep kit's longer transmission housing over the shorter version all the other II variants have?

As far as I can see after looking at all the info.

 

- SCX10 II  - smaller style Transmission -  Final drive ratio 42.00 | 32P Dual Slipper Clutch

 

- SCX10 II™ 2000 Jeep® Cherokee - Kit - Transmission - Final drive ratio 40.44 | with a range from 33.69 - 54.15

has a Low CG Transfer case design to helps keep the driveshafts centered and as low as possible in the chassis

 

depends what you are after really...

its nice to as already said. but its a shame they had to cut back on the SCX10.2 kit parts. such as gearbox, shocks. axle casings and such like. its what make the scx10.2 a worthy upgrade.

 

also just seen the HPI offering of the chassis only idea. at least it seems some people are listening but it has been a while for it to materialise

That is quite a tempting price, always wanted an SCX10ii but I've now been looking at the Coyote which is only £175 for the kit. This needs wheels, tyres and a body mind.
