Ooohhh!…..

Here’s the body

Wheels, foams and tyres

All the bits

One of the bags of screws up close

39713057385_4091f486ee_c.jpg?w=1020&ssl=1

And a screw on a one pence for scale

26736478638_e088f4b781_c.jpg?w=1020&ssl=1

You will also need 2-in-1 ESC, motor (150rpm is what I think i’m going for) and micro servo…

I paid just a tad over £12 for all the above electrics and £39 for the Orlandoo kit

All the bits are on the bottom of the kit page, make sure you change to UK warehouse before you buy!!

I thought I’d better make a start and opened the box…. Blimey the bits are small!

1st thing is to build an axle, pic before case added..

AA battery for scale!!!!!!!!!

1st bit done, eyes are shot and need my glasses tomorrow

Slow and steady, I’ve got zero patience when it goes wrong but I find it a bit therapeutic in an odd kinda way, manage this I can do owt!!

Not my 1st micro build, I did the Orlandoo F150 2 years ago.

Hubs fitted and front axle complete..

29117927917_d319791c51_c.jpg?w=1020&ssl=1

Rear axle

Upper and lower links

29117923137_64a462c927_c.jpg?w=1020&ssl=1

Both axles fitted with links

And lastly tonight, the mighty gearbox with HUGE motor ready to assemble!

More progress and the micro surgery is nearing completion!

Chassis underway…

Super small shock built, 3 more to do

44062320452_bc25be0daf_c.jpg?w=1020&ssl=1

Shocks and axles fitted..

43204447795_429e0b42a8_c.jpg?w=1020&ssl=1

Underside with everything connected

43204447665_748c73d8bc_c.jpg?w=1020&ssl=1

Wheels ready to put together

44112111361_14f4a17196_c.jpg?w=1020&ssl=1

…and fitted!

42302956150_c88b8141e2_c.jpg?w=1020&ssl=1

Shell to do and electrics to fit. The rear lights are TINY little SMDs and I gave up on the F150 build as the soldering was like trying to give a butterfly keyhole surgery!!

Have to decide which order and what colour for the shell.

Really enjoyed this build, far more than the F150 and looking forward to running it!!

I love these little trucks, and built the original pickup model.....but...as with several other micro cars I have bought..I just never use them.

I like the challenge of the build, I like the idea, but in practice...I find driving it around hte front room gets old really quickly. Shame.....
