It’s designed around a steel ‘C’ section ladder chassis, has a detailed 50s style truck body, and is designed to be the starting point for anyone wanting to get into this exciting a vibrant sector of RC at an affordable price. It’s not a competition rig; it doesn’t have any fancy gimmicks or technology, but it is a robust, well-designed and tested one-box solution. Just charge the pack and hit the trails. It really is as simple as that. But looks can be deceiving: Underneath the understated shell is a full steel UJ equipped driveline with a locked-axle transmission to generate maximum traction from the slipper clutch protected gearbox, right through to the wheels and tyres. A 35T brushed motor offers the perfect balance between torque and RPM, and true 4-link double triangulated link geometry is used to minimise axle steer. The high torque, axle mounted servo can be chassis mounted in the future if so desired, and the waterproof electronic speed control is programmable for both NiMH and LiPo use, with a crawler mode set as its default which offers instant reverse and always-on drag brakes. The high grip 1.9” offroad tyres are fitted to real beadlock wheels allowing the owner to fine tune the rig’s weight bias for crawling by adding stick on wheel weights. For fun and trail-only use, the rig’s stock setup is just perfect. The front bumper is winch-ready and the shell designed to accommodate an LED kit to add that extra touch of scale realism and allow night runs. Scale, Trail, Crawl. Firstly It's got modular rounded axles, steel UJs as standard, hardened cut alloy gear, flippable transmission, axle or chassis mounted servo positions, lots of other things that the stock Axial scx doesn't, especially on a £239.99 RTR. A stock RTR rig just got Recon G6 Certified after completing the 12 hour ProLine Fix Enduro in Erzberg Austria. The team came second against rigs costing 3 or 4 times the price. Carisma Scale Adventure is a whole new brand. Carisma RC and Carisma Racing are also separate brands. XFactory UK are the official distributor of the Scale Adventure brand and stock will be hitting them in late September. CML distribute Axial, G-Made, FTX and others. They didn't choose not to sell the brand, they never had it in the first place! Xfactory UK will also be getting lots of spares in parity with rigs arriving. They sell to many of the big RC retailers in the UK already, and have taken many orders for the SCA1E Coyote RTR. The brand is now distributed in 6 major territories and more are being added soon. Maybe check out the new facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CarismaScaleAdventure/ read the posts and understand the product fully before you pass judgement. Everyone involved in its development has Axials, has run Axials, and even won Nationals with Axials. It's true they were at one point the only real performance option. Hello mad Pete, (I think your the mad Pete I know welcome to the forum mate and at least I can get in touch with you now. seems all the Rc companies want a scaler in their lineup now, can only be good for competition, I love axial for the fact they are like the Tamiya kits, spares and hop-ups a plenty from overseas, was researching these a bit too, can't wait to see one in the flesh although I'm at 4 scale trucks now, how many more do I need?? 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Madmikeworthington Posted September 5, 2017 Share Posted September 5, 2017 Having driven this truck I can say it is a very capable 'planted' rig that has obviously been designed and tweaked by people who have been involved in the scale/trail/crawler scene for some time, I've mentioned before that a few of the features will be lost on some people, features that are subtle and often aftermarket mods done to your old axial, like metal drive shafts, bead lock wheels and chassis mounted servo, then the things like the fact the front links are a touch longer than the back to aid in climbing over stuff just shout 'experience' this is a 'grown up' kit and the only thing that makes it entry level is the price, if it was an extra £100 you would still consider it a good deal for what's included. Was thinking of getting a new truck and this seems to fit what I'm looking for, seems a great price too! Sounds like a lot of thought has gone into the design with reference to future proofing for different weight layouts.
