Popular Post johninderby
Having pre-ordered the new Traxxas Bigfoot No.1 and looking at the various Bigfoot models they do decided to also get one of the later Bigfoot shells to put on my Tamiya WR-01 4WD chassis. The wheelbase of the Bigfoot and WR-01 are the same. Fitting the body proved to be very easy. Just had to fit front type body mounts to the rear of the chassis screwed to the side of the chassis just to the rear of the stock mounting point. Front mounts can stay completely as stock. Although Traxxas calls this body 1:10 it definitely isn't and it's more like 1/12. Looks more like Littlefoot next to my Bigfoot 16. Looks good on the WR-01 chassis though even if it isn't a more appropriate solid axle one.The Bigfoot No.1 one on an SCX10 chassis will look more scale. John The tyres are these ones. Cheap but very soft and grippy and not glued to the rims thankfully. The Clod Buster tyres would look too big I think. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311747336038?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Edited March 28, 2017 by johninderby

johninderby
Thanks More than pleased with how the "Littlefoot" build came out. Those tyres are super grippy. Just using 27t silver cans and trying it indoors on the carpet it wheelies like it's brushless. Will cross the room just on the back wheels. Bit of sun predicted tomorrow so time for a back garden test. John.

atom3624
It's certainly lively enough - more than I'd expected. Al.
johninderby
Surprised me how lively it is on just a couple of standard Tamiya 27t silver cans. Won't be bothering upgrading the motors as it's quick enough for confined spaces. Fun little back garden basher. Now just need a small ramp. atom3624
Was what I was thinking. I remember my King Blackfoot on a single silver can - managed to do plenty of donuts and bash it about. Doesn't need Warp Factor speed .... and not with a very basic chassis, 'though there again, I noticed some stability and articulation going side-on across the centre ... Al. johninderby
Would be a pity to damage that shell. Those new big tyres do make up for the simple suspension quite a bit. Soft with a lot of grip and really improve the handling and add a lot of flexibility to the suspension. It now rides a lot more smoothly. Decent shocks help as well.
