SlayerLayer
My centre diff on the losi 5ive t has leaked it was virtually empty when i opened it and it leaked from the back. So what would you guys say it was the shim or the o ring or replace the case? I was thinking i could have been the o ring?
supersavage
I'd replace the paper gasket and both o-rings and see if that stops it. It's unlikely that you'll have to replace the case but depending on how long it was low on oil for its possible that the extra heat may have caused it to warp. SlayerLayer
It didn't leak at the end with the gasket or where the gear is, it only leaked out of the other side as i could see all the platter marks on the car lol
supersavage
I'd still replace both o-rings and the paper gasket anyway. Out of curiosity have you removed the o-ring as I think one of my diffs did something similar, what had happened was the oring had swollen and got slightly chewed up. Baja_Crazy
+1 on replacing all O rings and the gasket i had a similar problem but it was a very slight leak, it melted the lip in the plastic but that was easily solved with the IRC diff housing. super sharp shooter
If your diff is out you might as well change the gasket and ring
SlayerLayer
The o ring seemed like it shrunk lol it had a little play in the grove but it was all intact and no splits I've not replaced them all and re fitted find out soon if its alright now
