This unique design utilizes a single belt that is quite configurable with 3 motor mounting options to choose from to change the weight bias of the car. Can't speak for the Tamiya, but for the Losi the oversized diffs and teeth meant the belt ran looser than convensional 2-belt systems, but still maintaned contact, without slipping. It was EXTREMELY efficient. If you go on youtube and watch an XXX-S running, they sound so smooth and sweet. When I used to race, they were always the fastest and quietest cars on the grid. Infact, they dominated. It was a fantastic drivetrain. If Tamiya can replicate that, they will be on to a winner.
