Tug
Ah, sounds like a possible result. Have you done that yet?
.AJ.
Na, I looked at doing a firmware update a while ago, but the instructions were all a bit vague, so I didnt bother, the last thing I want to do is brick a £350 esc
Tug
I'll see what rccaronline says, then decide.
.AJ.
Did they get back to you?
Tug
No, nothing. I used the contact form, do you know of a better method? Got a proper email addy? May just search online for the firmware, must be on the ZTW site?
.AJ.
The ZTW site is terrible, I used the contact us on RcCarOnline shop, but I have the same email chat going from over a year ago though, the guy I’ve been speaking to is called Steffen
Tug
Cheers, might have to try again.
Tug
Tried to fit KM rims c/w Pioneer rubber (Trencher copies) to the X2, turns out the inner rim is smaller than stock and they rub on the steering rod-end. Total fail. Just about fit the rear, but only just.
.AJ.
They are probably Baja rims, so the offset is wrong
Tug
Plausible, but they shouldn't be listed as truck rims suitable for the 5ive and X2.
.AJ.
Got a link to the wheels?
Tug
PTWPR is the part number, they're listed for the Baja truck, but it states they will work with the KM X2. I'll not lose sleep over it, life is way too short.
.AJ.
Did you ever get an answer about the 10s issue?
Tug
Nope, didn't even reply. That's the main reason why this kind of thing is better purchased domestically, customer support. Modelsport just didn't have them in at the time. Coincidentally, tried a test run yesterday on 10S, it does still do it, but you can almost drive through it by blipping the throttle before each actual application of throttle. Not ideal, but it's better than nothing. That and the fact I can't afford an MGM, which are known for their own issues.
Tug
Can't believe Castle are still not interested in a 12S ESC, there's a market, serve it!
.AJ.
Just stick to 12s it is then! 😂

Hobbyking purchase I think. Bought it years ago on a whim and never used it until now. Quite a nice bit of kit.
