It is an agile yet brutal beastie - that's why everyone likes it, yet criticises it when it breaks - after having missed a 20' jump, or so ...

There have been a load of well-documented issues.

Ok gang. Day three of bashing with my new beast. Getting good air, amazing slides etc with the 8s. Couple of dodgy landings and it has clearly knocked something out of alignment in the drive train. The motor just spins free. So I lift it up by one end, give it a shake and everything re-engages and the drive is fine. Go upside down and same again.
I'm no stranger to shredding spur gears etc but the Xmaax is new tech for me. So where should I start ? It's def in the area of the motor onto transmission.

Xmaxx Bashers,

So I've evolved from 1/18, to 1/10 to 1/8 and now The Beast. All along i have always stocked up on the most breakable parts. Because the whole Xmaxx system is so new to me what would be the top 10 of parts to go just through bashing etc.

It can be internals, body work or chassis parts. Just trying to get a feel for it.

Regards

Hegs

Shock shafts and I'd swap out the spur and pinion Traxxas pot cast is crap use GDS spur and pinions from eBay :good:

couple if bearings for hubs etc and a selection of nuts and bolts

that's about all I carry plus the above mentioned by others

Evening all,

Just back from some evening bashing in the forest. So the body is taking a hammering and beginning to split here and there. I've seen vids of people using fibre glass tape and resin to strengthen bodies. Whats the thinking on this ? and what methods have people used. Thanks

I had to use longer bolts to put the catch bit bak on as the stock ones wernt lonog enuff after putting the goo on....

and the rpm, fr/rear bumper supports r a good move aswell as they will save the rerar of the shell as there a lot stronger then the flimsy stock ones.....

heres my rear one which kept folding bak in to the lower rear of the shell and would of cracked it....
