JimbobIII
Thanks RC lari but that doesn't show which screw attaches the horn to the servo. It does show the linkage to the steering rack.
ghazghul
Pretty sure it's a short m3 countersunk but dont have one about to check. I can confirm tomorrow.
Rc lari
Thanks RC lari but that doesn't show which screw attaches the horn to the servo. It does show the linkage to the steering rack. oh OK. I've just had a look in the parts manual I've got but it does show any thing. Possibly a m3x10mm could term sunk but not sure will have a look on weekend when I work on my car as fitting some alloy upgrades.
Rc lari
Does it not come with new screws and horns
JimbobIII
Well it did have the screw but it must have dropped out and I've not noticed Thanks for looking into it. HPI site seems crap for details. I was trying to work out my FDR but there figures don't add up. 2.92 diff ratio. Normal drive spur is 48t and either 21t or 23t pinion supposed to come out at 5.7:1. Ahhhh.
ghazghul
Sorry, forgot to get back to you... mine is in with an M3x8 countersunk screw The diff. is 13/38. I'd make it 6.68:1 on a 21t and 6.1 on a 23T?
JimbobIII
Thanks ghazghul. Yeah the 6:68 and 6.1 would be what I got. Wonder why - is there something else missing on the internal drive ratio?
ghazghul
Thanks ghazghul. Yeah the 6:68 and 6.1 would be what I got. Wonder why - is there something else missing on the internal drive ratio? Most Maverick info seems pretty suspect. The Scout motor is listed as a 14T but it's a 70t with a 14t pinion and the gears are listed as 0.6mod when they are clearly 48dp. Safer to distrust it and work out yourself!
JimbobIII
Yeah I know what you mean. Generally their stuff has little info in any case and as we've seen what there is is wrong/incomplete.
