Bigjimknickers
Hello! Got myself a KM002C after much deliberation! Fitted a switchblade & my Dx3c tx so far & done 3 tanks with castrol A747 fully synthetic race 2T oil @ 25:1 mix. Pic to follow. Brb. Bigjimknickers
Now took it out after running it in gently yesterday & Friday & I noticed it's started to rev when the brakes are applied, so I set the servo arm to 90deg & the trim to zero, and the assembly to the hpi ss standard, no joy, but not as much revving. Maybe it's the crappy servo? Not going back to the same position?
Noj
It's very clean Jim....and rather silver I will hazard a guess at your needing to do the fuel tube mod, to the throttle/brake linkage....which could be a misnomer, my never having run a gasser... Bigjimknickers
Not that clean now, been to oxshott woods, & it's sandy & dusty now!
Oh How Original
Fuel tube mod on the brake linkage is a good call Noj
Tug
Oxshott? Once of these days I'll join you lot down there! Even if it kills me!
Bigjimknickers
I drove about thinking of somewhere to go, unfortunately oxshott is the only place I can go & run this, it's so big & noisy I couldn't imagine running it at a park. Shame as i wanted to tune it in a nice flat field.
Bigjimknickers
Just looked up the yamadude linkage at mmr largescale,
Oh How Original
I'd personally put that
(-:AD:-)
You want the fullkill linkage... better than yammadude. Stock (hpi) is ok...

Oh How Original
Have you tried the KM monster tyres? Tried most tyres on the market.
Tug
Bowties are ok up front, but rubbish for the rear! I run nightmares on the rear and dirt busters up front, works for me.
Oh How Original
Agreed, that was my main setup on most Bajas. Or Hostile Mini MX up front. Come to think of it I've actually tried every tyre on the Bajas lol. Hostile MX, Mini MX, Slick, All Terrain, all the KM copies of the Hostile ones, all the HPI ones, GRP and Elcon
Bigjimknickers
When the tyres fall apart I'll replace them, at the mo I'm very happy with there peformace on the loose dirt at oxshott, obviously there soft so if I used them on a harder surface they'd be ripped to shreds in minutes. Oh How Original
It's not so much ripping them, it's the way the wall of the tyre works, I found it out the hard way, but I did quite a few tanks of testing, hard cornering at speed and the MX's just performed 10x better. The stockers are certainly fine on loose gravel and whatnot, just prepare for lots of grip roll if you go on grass lol.
Bigjimknickers
Just finished a tank of fuel in a random field I found in Aldershot, while looking for an old bash spot, tuned the carb a bit too, starts & runs pretty nice now aside from the revving whilst braking! Hyper-d
Tape the tyres and foams, they'll last a lot longer
Feedtheinferno
It has nothing to do with the throttle linkage, you don't need to spend any money on a new one. The problem you have is with the carb, the km carbs are terrible for holding a tune, essentially it will be running as if the LSN is screwed in too much, even when it isn't. You money would be better spend on even a second hand 668 wall to carb, no matter how well you think you have tuned that km one, it won't stay that way for long and will be the cause of the issue 100%
Feedtheinferno
Also of you want to run the car in a brilliant spot. There's one about a hours drive from you if you want to have a chat with me about it? Always looking for new people to run with!

But I'll buy that savox no matter what anyway as the t/b one is nasty!
Feedtheinferno
In that case loosen the grub on the upper shaft, press the brake full on at the TX and then retighten the grub, that should stop the shaft opening the carb slightly. That said. Have you checked auto abs isn't on? As that has been the case with the fly sky's in the past.
Bigjimknickers
It's bound to my dx3c, the flysky was sold on day 1, I watched phatdads utube vid, I reckon I've got some sand/grit in that part that he slides at the end! I'll check tomorrow, cheers!
