StrokerBoy Posted May 16, 2014 Share Posted May 16, 2014 Sitting my Pumpkin shell on my wife's M03 Mini chassis shows that the sills rest on top of the battery. But I'm sure that could be easily overcome if I spent more than 2 minutes on it. It'd need wider (not bigger) wheels for me to be happy with the look too. There was a guide on a website but I think the website is gone now. Easy done though. Just get started and it'll all come good in the end. I knew what I wanted it to look like in my head, but I couldn't seem to make it happen. I wanted wide wheels that stick out past the arches, but struggled to find any with suitable offset. HPI Vintage wheels look great but i couldn't get it to sit right on those. Bored of just tripping over it all, I finally threw it together this week. Still not quite what I was after, but not far off. Cheap BBS-style drift wheels/tyres, hop-up rear uprights to correct the ridiculous toe-in, wider hexes on the back and thin spacers on the front, and rear springs swapped for longer silver ones. Body has had the roll-bar mounts removed, extra holes filled, the front arch corners shaved slightly and a wooden bed added. It's got the proper FORD tailgate and V8 grille from my original 1989 MP spares, and Shapeways 3D-printed taillights.
